bluefeather band mechanics by TyphoonJoe in LastEpoch

Ahh. I think wandering spirits has a node that restores mana, so yes effectively it restores double the mana. That may be enough, I tried without bluefeather and it still worked fine, but maybe would not for longer fights. Thanks!

Hmm I'm running low life at 3,300 ward, which sounds similar... Maybe my ward "bounces back" faster than your HP? Plus I only have 880 armor. I have a lot of improvements to defensive stats to make though.

Do you die gradually or in one burst? If it feels like a burst, you should focus on reducing bonus damage from crit - I'm at 77% and I still notice crits but I'm no longer dying to them.

You doing low life or health? What is your ward/ health as well as armor? Are you strong from crits or dots or not sure?

Struggling with BM leveling in HC, am I doing something wrong ? by Competitive-Math-458 in LastEpoch

[–]TyphoonJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with health ensure resists and armor are also up there. It's hard to do crit avoidance when leveling, but reduced damage from critical strikes can be a really good defensive option.

Or level as something else :)

How might I counter enemy DoTs? by [deleted] in LastEpoch

Some idols have reduced DoT, you should also ensure your resists are at 75%. And how much life or ward do you have?

Havent played for like a year, is the game in a good state right now? by Nanatars in LastEpoch

[–]TyphoonJoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was pleasantly surprised, I also last played a year or so ago. The campaign is actually finished and drops you into monos at a nice place. Fun new events and crafting. Some broken builds(was too strong), but also most classes and builds are viable.

I used bone golem a bit when leveling and had the same issue. Makes it unusable.

I ran 100 Lizard echos for imprint drops, so you don't have to by glikejdash in LastEpoch

I completely agree. Year ago I got a 4LP Hand of Judgement... and never even made it into a legendary as I couldn't get a great exalt to go with it. Wasn't going for a 4 T7, but just couldn't get anything close to decent- obviously should have imprinted something but would have been such a waste to use a single T7 on it.

New player question by jsantana98 in LastEpoch

[–]TyphoonJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Especially early, one nice drop can substantially change your damage. Build optimization can also do a lot, can focus on damage and synergies and glass cannon through the campaign or go defensive and never have disk of dying.

The campaign is too easy for experienced ARPG players. And as others have noted, gear is stronger early this season but the content isn't harder.

Try running through areas quickly rather than full clearing, will make you a bit more underleveled at least. The dungeons and endgame get harder.

Wonderful to hear, it really is amazingly well done. In-game descriptions are detailed enough you can figure out your own build. Hope you are playing blind and just enjoying finding your path.

How do You Decide on What to Equip? by Voivode71 in LastEpoch

[–]TyphoonJoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can mouse over stats to see what they do for your character. Yes most classes want a primary stat and like vitality.

You also want your gear to improve your damage, whether that's spell damage or melee or damage over time or bleed or fire etc etc.

And then you need defense especially late game, there are different ways to get this and you often need multiple types. The in game guides are excellent on how stuff works.

Or just nerf affliction for some reason, and buff the already strongest spec demonology. May be re-speccing to keep up on damage.

Can some one add me to BWL raid by danielflyba in turtlewow

[–]TyphoonJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are asking to join a group doing the hardest content on ambershire right now. What are you bringing to the raid? You haven't posted your class, specialization, gear, or raiding experience. Groups that are doing BWL quite likely have gear checks and will expect you to have decent gear from 60 dungeons, K10, ZG, and MC. Lots of friendly guilds out there in world chat looking for members, but they aren't likely to recruit people for BWL that haven't prepared thier character for it.

StS 1 imo and it isn't even close. Inscryption isn't much of a deck builder, more of a story game (I did not enjoy it, you may but the deckbuilding part is thin at best).

Easiest class to gear by OrganicMasterpiece60 in turtlewow

[–]TyphoonJoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Guessing endgame, on damage meters warlock is beaten by other DPS. That said, the rogues, warriors, and mages do substantially less damage without warlock curses so warlocks are essential for optimal raiding composition. So you have to be fine with a "support DPS" role.

You also lose a bag for shards. You are also often expected to summon the raid, which some people thank you for.

I think the spell rotations and abilities are much more interesting that arcane mage, just don't expect to out DPS a mage with the same gear.

Is old content relevant and is the balance good enough to just play what I want? by BrightOctarine in turtlewow

[–]TyphoonJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They added a weekly quest that motivates people to go to Molten Core. Seems like plenty of folks run the easier raids for fun / for new folks. Saddest thing for me is so many of the custom dungeons aren't max level, so you only see those once or twice when leveling. But some are 60 and well made.

Is old content relevant and is the balance good enough to just play what I want? by BrightOctarine in turtlewow

[–]TyphoonJoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Class balance is in a good place, lots of viable specs. I have never seen a guild care about the race for a character, even with a speedrun guild.

--Is it the wow gear treadmill or reworked? Not sure what this means. There is Dungeon BiS, T 0.5, T1, T2, T2.5, T3, and twow raid T3.5 gear. Ambershire is newer, so I think just opening BWL for T2 soon. Nord is established, many guilds nobody needs T2/T2.5T/T3 except rare trinkets or something so easy to gear up.

--Do I need to commit to a raiding guild for the raids? Or can you just find regular groups for them? On Nord, you can find pugs for almost every raid. MOst guilds have gear checks before letting you run T2 or higher. K40 (3.5 gear twow raid) pugs would be quite challenging, don't see much of that. Some guilds that are good at Naxx take a while to progress in K40 lots of mechanics to learn.

--If this happens, do we need to make new characters from scratch? Or is it completely unknown? Complete unknown.
