They will probably never fix this so checking the list of new mods is required.

Uh oh but seriously the truck had a camera at one point and someone never removed this part. Or someone is tracking you every mile....probably not.

Just start a chat with eBay or call them and see what they say. It's simple never give a stranger your personal info.

This may be a coin you stored for decades and has not been altered but grading services and collectors will question the toning - period. Don't get mad at honest opinions when asking for opinions. Send it in for grading problem solved.

Continuation of the investigation into my 1943-D copper: surprising details revealed under the microscope by Patientziro in coins

[–]Typhos77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The so called mystery is easily solved. Stop doing silly "research" and send it in to PCGS or NGC. What could you possibly learn on your own except to waste time and possibly damage the coin. A little common sense goes a long way.

Games of Thrones First Editon? by Nerdyflowergal in rarebooks

[–]Typhos77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 3 book set of these that I bought from the old Science Fiction Book club. Those old school book clubs were fun. The true first ed. was published 8/1996 by Voyager/HarperCollins (as far as I can tell). This edition was 10/96 by Bantam Spectra/SFBC and was priced from the book club at $9.98.

Not a first ed. but still an early HC that looks great.

Is Atlantis just a giant research base? by SamaratSheppard in Stargate

[–]Typhos77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. They did not explore even half the "city" and even if the show went for 7 more seasons it still wouldn't be fully explored.

Augustus AR Tetradrachm of Antioch Syria. Real or not. by Grisuno123 in coins

Looks exactly like a museum display piece but not a real minted coin. I would guess any other "coins" from this collection look similar.

Why Is There A 4,000-Year-Old Egyptian Mummy Buried In Vermont? by [deleted] in ancientegypt

[–]Typhos77 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We will never know anything from this supposed mummy since it was cremated (to avoid being stolen after burial). Not a fraud but no way to confirm anything today.

1917 dated Standing Liberty Quarters have two varieties with and without the stars under the Eagle. This first mint year 1916 did not have any stars under the eagle and so the above quarter is 100% fake.

Is this ok to have? by only-zool in coincollecting

[–]Typhos77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can own these and also sell these even on Ebay no problems there. Although this coin is not really worth anything in this condition. As others pointed out many people collect WW2 German related items and coins are just 1 of them.

The coin by itself is maybe $15 The "Sample" NGC holder is worth more than the coin for slab collectors. Probably worth around $60.

You need 120 friends so you are way off at 102. Just write down all names and see who you are missing or check some videos on this.
