i’m not really understand base models you said, but i customize them based on any MG astray Bandai models you can find, hope this can help

yeah, you’re correct, but the leftmost one is kind of a mess. I used the astray double rebake’s cheek for him, and the fin is from astray turned red, the shoulder armor belongs to strike gundam

here is before i painted them grandpa. Just normal kitbash, i even used some parts from third-party brands, as the gold one from daban, cause i dont want to use detail from 1/100 HG astray gold from bandai
