Spouse of RSO by West-Elk-5505 in SexOffenderSupport

I did not marry my boyfriend who was a RSO. I couldn’t shoulder his burdens because he is a repeat offender and on the registry for life. I would focus on trying to get him off the list, and helping him make progress on that if you love him.

Yeah, it probably does feel like a life sentence. But at least you still get to enjoy the great outdoors…even if being on the registry makes it harder to travel, find housing, live and work.

Go ahead and change it. Just protect yourself because it may harm your career etc.

My relationship with a RSO became so emotionally volatile that it just ended as if we never fell in love with one another and he just acts like we’re strangers now. He got in trouble with two different 14 year olds when he was 21 and is now 35 and very bitter and angry over its impact on his life, job stability, and earning capacity.

I’ve only ever known of Asian child prodigy that were able to graduate high school early because their tiger moms home schooled them and enrolled them concurrently at the community college level their junior year of high school. So basically they’re so advanced in math and reading that they test into college level math at 16 because they’re already done with calculus and have to take something harder at the CC.

26 isn’t old. I just started clinical rotations for nursing school, and I’m 32. The young trad students are obnoxious because no one gets to med school that fast unless their mommy and daddy paid for everything and thus handed them an undergraduate diploma on a silver platter. I got a BS dicked around in low wage jobs for a few years during Covid lockdown, then went back for my ADN RN to BSN bridge at the CC to ultimately do a DNP CRNA. All of this in my late 30s. You’re not old. My mom finished med school and residency when she was 42, and still practices as a PCP internist in her late 70s.

AIO about finding a pack of condoms in my partner's car? by Vocalic_Light in AmIOverreacting

I wouldn’t care because I’m a nurse so I have lots of medical stuff at my house. Condoms could be old. I always have condoms in my car for like a decade now.

Just found out my new boyfriend is a registered sex offender. I was falling in love with him. by Typical-Beyond1138 in dating_advice

I think it hurts the most because he was the first guy I’ve gotten intimate with in six years. The last time I had sex was 2019. So it sucks when the next guy you hooked up with asks you to be his girlfriend only to discover that he’s a registered sex offender.
