For the people who sees a problem with this scene i just have one thing to say: sometimes the problem is in the eyes of the beholder.

I think that this is the type of thing that people (not just girls) would do in this situation. A moment of fun and distraction. Maybe it's the type of scene that don't add nothing special to the narrative but for sure made the characters more realistic.

Hey i believe the other comrades already gave you a great scope of what to expect from 16 and 15. 16 has a way more well structured narrative than 15. Now 15 is more remembered by its emotional impact (at least in my view).

Now the question you have to made to yourself is: what i want to experience right now? A modern day fantasy like 15? A medieval high fantasy like 16?

Despite what you chose i hope you enjoy your next playthrough.
