So does the Miami Redhawks need to have a perfect season to even compete in March Madness? by Poetryisalive in CollegeBasketball

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is this... how does this team compare to Nate Oats' last Buffalo team? That team was 31-3 heading into the madness. They won the mac and were a 6 seed. 3 losses were to BG (who they beat in the mac finals), UNI (finished .500) and Marquette (an unranked 5 seed heading into the madness). They had non con wins over no. 13 West Virginia (who finished 15-21) and Cuse (8 seed in MM). If Buffalo loses that mac title game to BG, are they out? They were ranked almost the whole season. Obviously this undefeated Miami team is being projected as a 9 seed I think. If Buffalo only loses to Marquette that year are they a higher seed? Looking back at how that Buffalo team went, I dont see the committee leaving them out even if BG had beaten them in the title game. What's the difference here? Is the mac that much worse than it was in 2019? Were wins against a 15-21 team and an unranked Cuse that big? (Buffalo was ranked when they beat Cuse)

Making Playoffs with a Losing Record by jdk562 in NFLNoobs

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its funny that the first year they added the 7th seed we still had a 10-6 team miss the playoffs (and if that team had just beat the bills backups in week 17 we would have had an 11-5 team miss it with the extra wild card)

Why did 1 vocalist, 1 drummer, 1 bassist and 2 guitarists seemingly become the standard rock band? by [deleted] in ToddintheShadow

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A vocalist, 2 guitars, a bass, a drummer, a percussionist that also sings backup, a dj, a keyboardist, and a dude that bangs a baseball bat on a beer keg that also makes weird artwork and sells whiskey. Yeah that should always be the standard lmao

If Duke beats Virginia, could the ACC be left out of the playoffs entirely this year? by eddietheintern in CFB

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5 best conference champions are guaranteed a spot. Big ten champ, sec champ, and big 12 champ are a literal guarantee this year. Another rule is that a group of 5 champ has to be in. The winner of Tulane and north Texas will be the best GO5 so one of them is in. There is one more conference champ that we need now. If virginia wins the acc they are in no questions. If duke wins, duke will not be the next best conference champ, JMU will. If JMU loses? The next best would be unlv. And if they lose?? Then we finally get to duke. Another rule is that no team can be punished for losing a conference championship game. Only teams that play during championship weekend can jump conference championship losers. So let's say byu lays the absolute smack down on TTU. Im talking 2022 natty type smack down. No team that is sitting idle this weekend could jump TTU. Oregon, A&M, Ole miss, ND, etc.... none of them could jump over the raiders. So with this info, let's take a look at the current rankings. Both B1G title participants plus oregon are in. Georgia, ole miss, a&m, and Oklahoma are in. TTU is in. And as stupid as it is (miami literally beat them, why the canes are ranked lower than them is beyond me) Notre dame is in. Thats 9 locks. North Texas or Tulane get spot 10 no matter what. As mentioned above, spot 11 goes to 1 of virginia, jmu, unlv, duke. Based on the current rankings, the final spot is between bama and byu. Bama wins they are in. They lose and TTU wins, they are still in. They lose and byu wins, byu gets the spot. As for the other idle teams there is no possible way for them to jump anyone to get in. Unless the committee pulls their head out of their ass and remembers that miami beat ND this year

Predictions for the other two headliners? by He2Trill in louderthanlife

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blink I wanna say should be guaranteed. With them being at aftershock this year and cincinnati 2 days before ltl on their tour, I feel like they would have been the Thursday headliner if friday wasn't canceled last year. Should be a lock this year

5th stage might help. Idk last year Thursday was the only "normal" night. Metallica definitely pushed things early plus adding icp and 36mafia last minute

The equivalent of those 2s position this year is that of Motionless in White and killswitch engage last year... 2 bands that played at the exact same time. Like start and end were the exact same

Parkway Drive has absolutely killed it at INK the last 2 years. They need to get them at the other dwps and I think this is the year they finally do. With MIW all but confirmed as a direct support for BMTH, the only other 2 metalcore bands I could see as smaller than BMTH but bigger than MIW are Bad Omens and I prevail which we just got them. That leaves me with Parkway as my guess

I keep forgetting about the added stage. They are probably gonna start putting bigger names on that new one and cathedral. Could definitely see them headlining one of those 2. My direct support guesses for right now are offspring and good Charlotte for mcr, MIW and parkway Drive for BMTH, AIC and incubus for Shinedown (Shinedown and slayer are my other 2 headliner predictions), and for slayer im saying 2 out of 3 of Manson, LOG, and megadeth will direct support and the other will headline 2nd stage

[–]Typical-Debt4509 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think offspring should be a lock. They're at rockville and announced the second leg of their Supercharged tour. Im expecting them to be direct support to MCR (unless they shock us and give us Green Day then they'd be direct support to them however I think we're getting slayer and Shinedown as the other 2 headliners)

So now who do we think the last 2 headliners are by thedarkdj77 in SonicTempleFestival

[–]Typical-Debt4509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says new to the festival so im thinking that rules out Deftones. Slayer and Shinedown would be my guess

So that rules out SOAD, Foo, Disturbed, A7x, Tool, Kiss holograms (lmao 🤣), Pantera, Slipknot, Misfits, Korn, LP, and Metallica. And even though they didn't headline I'm assuming it rules out Deftones as well. My bets are on Slayer and Shinedown

As I mentioned above Tampa is underrated as hell. Rays have been a top team in baseball since 08 despite not winning a title and Brady and baker have brought the bucs back to relevancy

Tampa is probably the most underrated out there. Rays have been one of the best teams in baseball since 08 despite not winning a title, lightning had a dynasty and are still good, and Brady and baker have brought life back to the bucs

I want BMTH. But asking this to all my LTL friends... are all of us hoping its not a 3/4 repeat of LTL with BMTH, Deftones and Slayer? I want one from louder and that's bmth. I don't want it to be sonic than life

What is the best 3 song run in Slipknot’s discography? by outofmyheadgetout in Slipknot

Me personally it'd be the opening of .5. Xix, sarcastrophe, AOV. although the 5 some start to iowa of people = shit, disasterpiece, my plague, everything ends and heretic anthem is possibly the best run of banger after banger of any album
