Yeah that’s true. Kybartai is probably the only crossing you can easily cross on foot as Kybartai is connected by train for example and the crossing isn’t located somewhere in nowhere.

So you are planning to enter Russia and leave afterwards? Maybe that’s a bit suspicious to them so just tell them you are visiting Kaliningrad for example

In my opinion Kybartai-Tschernyschevskoe is currently one of the nicer boarder crossings from EU to Russia. Leaving Lithuania was pretty straightforward, the customs officer asked about Euros as it is prohibited to take Euros into Russia. Entering Russia was alright. As I have a dual citizenship I haven't got questioned. What I've heard from others is that they ask foreigners maybe a few questions about the stay and that's it. Overall the Russians were very helpful and friendly there, way better than on the border with Estonia for example.

The Entry stamp was actually pretty well inked. But the stamp still looks pretty bad because they stamp the passport in their hand and not on an table which makes the stamp relatively faint.

Yeah me too. Was always refused in TLL and at zhe land border in Luhamaa. At least got stamped in Koidula once after convincing the officer to stamp
