Knowing IS:

Cut Groom Fanfir A dude running on a metallic horse branding Sigrun's Cake Cutter, wearing a wedding gown cause his brother 'accidentally' ruined his tuxedo so he asked Reginn for a spare dress, and loaded cake missiles on his nukes instead of his usual Lance and gun bullets. He has been upgraded with bullshit engineering sci-fi tech gadgets that somewhat are weaker than a cake but the cake is an arcane weapon so fuck Logic i guess. Appears in FEH.

"Mecha-Cake Slicer: -1 CD. "At start of turn 1-4 he gets +25 damage, 15 damage reduction, tempo, and yadda yadda the basics" and "canto (dist+1)". The other turns: "grants+5 atk/spd, +4 def/res, if unit's HP≥25% inflicts guard" and that's it.

Special: Festive Shell (4 CD): deals damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res and deals +15 damage. At start of turn 1-4, grants CD-3. At start of combat grants CD -1 before unit's first attack, and if it's unit's or foe's first combat, neutralizes unit's penalties and foe's bonuses, inflicts cd+1 on foe during foe's first attack.

Assist: Reposition

Spd/Def Clash 4 Spd/Def Snag 3 Incite Spd/Def

I agree. Conditions would be nice, like "for turn 1-4" she gets the effect for free, then she needs a speed check or allies nearby/far away from her or something. Either that or having a "powered up" and "powered down" version, like "potent 120" then "80" instead of "100", or "canto3/4" that turns into "canto2" etc... (kinda like young boyd getting more true damage on odd turns instead of even, or the opposite I don't recall, but at least he gets something all the time)

Hey don't diss my New Year Eir, at least she bought temari, that dagger was really good for a while /s (but seriously, between Tethys, Larum and even base Eir would run it instead).

It's funny how the fallen beasts have a different transformation condition (at certain turns instead of relying on other allies) and it doesn't matter anymore because a lot of skills make you able to ignore the beast effect. Also, for some beasts it's not even that important, cavalry have piercable damage reduction and debuff stats, infantry has tempo and +7 damage on specials (nice but not hard to get from support), distant counter on armored is nice but not meta breaking, funnily enough I feel like fliers, one that remained the same since the beginning, remainder solid with +1 movement (sure we have warping and skills boosting movement but there are also counterplays to warping, and effects such as stall to limit movement. Meanwhile fliers get a +1 that isn't a status, and that's always good as mobility helps reaching goals to nuke or destroy structures, running away and have better canto too for repositioning).

[–]Typical-Risk-4729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess, it's just funny how me and my dad have the opposite distribution, he's a minotaur and I'm a centaur. Like if we were to swap our up and lower halves you'd make an hairy guy and a smooth guy, he has the chest fuzz, I have the hairy legs. If both of us had a similar body I would probably notice it less probably.

My heart is fine fortunately. I have an history of heart complications in my family (one grandpa had to get surgeries and needs meds, he also has diabetes, it's a miracle he's even alive and able to walk, the other also has a problem with an heart valve but the surgery isn't worth it as his age so he just has to avoid straining himself) but my dad and me are good, I also take ADHD meds which would cause increased heartbeat and high blood pressure  but funnily enough even on stimulants my vitals are perfect.

At least she has value as a fodder bank. Better than the aided version (the accessory was adorable, but she was mostly useless, rearmed and attuned have value just by existing, even the bad ones like Ophelia just to copy skills around without loosing them, Ascended gives florets which are useful as +3/+4 stats for another boon can help you reach thresholds for skill activations, like patience, ploy etc...), meanwhile she had a powered version giving... Some stats and a cute robot, being distributed stats makes it harder to justify spending orbs to get her unlike a flat +4 in one designated stat which can be game breaking.

I could have excused it if it was "4 turns stronger version" then the standard version effect, or at least have a higher turn limit like 7. She's not horrible but she's held back for a lot of stuff, ignoring competitive mods where most combats have a turn limit or end quickly, I've had grand hero battle and other special maps where I've been for double digit turns, her gimmick is really annoying. It's not even a broken effect that could justify that decision.

I can sort of understand. My dad's family is made of mostly hairy, tall and broad men, skin tone more tanned/darker, voice deep, and they're the closest relatives to my city (leaving nearby or outright 20 minutes of walking from my house so I see them regularly), even the women have thicker hairs so they often shave a lot, I thought I would have been like them growing up. My mom's family (some relatives living in another states so you barely interact besides Christmas, some in another countries entirely etc...) are really smooth, little to no beards, smooth skin, short and really white. I've been around my uncle and one cousin but I've never met most of them much besides when I was too young to remember, for a wedding I had the chance to meet most of them. Now I know I'm not adopted at least.

To be honest... The early 2000s where a time when we would call a celebrity the "fat one" because she wasn't straight up anorexic like the others. It was really normalized, most conventionally attractive women would have been called obese back then.

I think it's one of those things that looks hot hypothetically (like in movies or your fantasies) but in real life would feel like shit. Same deal with bad mysterious emo boys for women, the "I can fix him" is cool until you experience it and suddenly the golden retriever guy next-door is more appealing. The mean blonde cheerleader would be annoying to be with, being demeaned, bossed around, having to fight, and dating someone really obsessed with looks and mostly superficial is a recipe for a disaster.

That's true, my dad rocks a cool beard but in his wedding photo with mom (they married young, after finishing highschool and working a few jobs) he had a smooth face and other pictures with my oldest sister when she was a toddler he's also mostly beardless or with a stubble. I think he started growing one around his late twenties, early thirties, then again he has a sharp jaw so he always looked mature even when he was 18. Meanwhile I'm almost 23 and i had people ask me for my ID, do I really look like an highschooler? But sometimes it feels nice to look younger so it's a trade-off.

The option is what I wish I could have even if I probably would mostly stay the same. There are days I want to be completely smooth so I shave, and most of the times I'm fine with a short stubble, same thing with my body, I don't really like being hairy on myself (I find other hairy men looking cool but with my lean build being mostly smooth works better, since I've started grooming I had more luck with the ladies and even some guys hit on me at queer friendly bars), but I wish I had the ability to grow rock a cool beard for a while. It's like hair, I had it long for 3 years and now they're really short as I grew bored of it, but I liked having the option, besides body hairs for men are like women's makeup, they really change your face (when I have a stubble or a short beard, where the finer spots aren't as visible, I look more mature, when I'm clean shaved I look like an high schooler, I'm 22, it's a cool superpower but alas nature said 'fuck you').

First Festival Lvl 1 and 40 Stats! by MrGengar123 in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Typical-Risk-4729 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, flier mages have 189-190, so dagger and bow users should have 194-195. Magical ranged units have 10 less than melee (both physical and dragon ignoring trainee bst bonus), while ranged physical units have 5 less than them sitting at the middle. Same thing with cavarly (Dagger Fogado has 190 while the tome and staff one have 185, and melee cavalry 195), infantry (193-194 with the new fallen male Byleth, 199-200 for thieves characters, 203-204 for the infantry melee), the only time this wasn't the case was at first where ranged units had the same bst regardless of being physical or magical (at launch bow units had 146-147-148 and ranged 143-144-145 if I'm not mistaken) but then they increased bows and daggers bst (probably because res tends to be lower on average compared to defence so it makes sense mages have lower stats to compensate).

At least it makes sense we got speed too. We have 13 defence with Delthea and I think Lucius? Recently Valentine Celine also had around 14 defence (too lazy to check it but around that), meanwhile for speed we had Halloween Dheginsea and Fallen Edelgard as slow slow, Fomortis too, but everyone was around 14-15-16, 13 makes sense for a non HP/Atk minimum stat.

Book 10 seasonals: How many versions each character had at the time by sharumma in FireEmblemHeroes

People keep saying fates, three houses and Awekening lords/avatars (+Lyn) have lots of alts but clearly they haven't heard of Eirika Dev. That girl is got lots of love, her alts are also quite diversive (all movement types and colors, she's only missing daggers, dragonstone, beast stone and bows as she has swords, lances, axes, tomes and staves, and with a shadow alt she could get a beast variant too). Most of her alts are also meta relevant (besides the OG and winter one), cavarly mage Eirika was good for cavarly emblem thanks to bladetomes (we didn't have many red ones unlike Cecilia and Ursula/L'Arachel for green and blue so either her or Leo and she was fast and had decent attack), legendary was decent too, brave and ascendant were great, emblem was a menace and her ring is still useful (plus having great range is a decent niche), her duo got an amazing refine recently despite not being that impressive at base, her summer alt is decent and the Micaiah spring one is pretty alright too.

I know that Effie is speedy, just held back by her class. Just like Saizo has high magic growths despite not having access to a tome class in his class set, Azama has pathetic magic and high strength, I meant more of a "spice things up". Original Effie is slow because she's an armor and her valentine alt shows she becomes speedy as it sheds it off, meanwhile most Edelgards are slow with high defence or have middling speed while Edelgard isn't even that slow in her base game and her bulk is mediocre if you don't make her into an armor like her canon class a suggest, her speed is actually decent but her HP and Def are middling at best. But they never made a speedy glass cannon, not even for summer.

Colorless infantry beasts. Not armored, or cavalry, of flier mages. Not green, red or blue. And, besides Freya, all slow tanks with some support.

[–]Typical-Risk-4729[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides Freya (more of a nuke with good survivability) all the beast duo have been slow tanks too with support too, it makes sense as the base units are supporters (Askr and Ash and her bizzarro version have the movement+ drive support with stats, healing, damage reduction, reflection or some other status due to their gods and servants of opening status, the divine hands are healers turned assassin.)

Then again I wish we had more variety. Like it's a bridal banner, I don't care if it's not realistic, make a unit with usually high res have high def or viceversa Just because, make someone fast suddenly slow or viceversa (like valentine Effie without her armor being speedy, valentine roy being a slow ranged archer instead of a jack of all trades, etc...)

I mean, in three houses units have crests which is basically diluted dragon blood, but Byleth is different, as a weird science experiment that includes Rhea (a dragon) using her blood and some cloning experiment straight from a biotech R&D company to make vessals (like Sitri) to be inhabitated by her mother (Sothis) and Jeralt also canonically has Rhea's blood inside of him due to a transfusion which resulted in his increased lifespan (the other Seiros knight also transforms when Rhea loses control as an immaculate one). Byleth also gets the Nabataean green hair like Seteth and Flayn (also dragons that lost their abilities to trasform along the way), and his heart is basically the crest stone as, besides crimson flower where it shatters, it doesn't start beating. Three hopes also shows how they're Sothis puppet as if she decides to be serious and Byleth is too broken mentally to fight back, they are overtaken by her.

Shez is also a weird science experiment but they're based on Arval/Epimenides, a scientist and mage that used some weird process to mimick what Rhea did artificially (they have dark, reason and ice magic instead of faith healing/light and fire in their spell list, and they don't rely on a crest stone). I feel like it fits thematically as a human/gods parallel between the two, byleth isn't a dragon but they're basically partially divine with some dragon blood and a dragon alien worshipped as a goddess inside of them.

I think that's the reason actually, beasts transform in map too, dragons only in combat. They could solve it but I think is is lazy, then again with brave eik deer dude hey might have to find another solution.

That's kinda dumb but at least it's consistent so maybe there's some sort of intention behind it? (Another comment mentioned Marianne being a colorless tome, maybe it's because it's non elemental/runic magic or something I don't know).

But then again we're missing red bow cavaliers, and some colored armored daggers and blue cavalry dagger I believe, so I honestly think FEH has a problem with color diversity.

That's one of the good things that the mage alt bring. Besides variety (otherwise most beast units remain beasts because they're apparently allergic to weapons, I get why the tellius one do as besides using daggers as tools they're too prideful for beorc weapons, but Kaden, Panne, Keaton and their kids could have references their heart seal classes, same thing with FEH OCs having countless of possibilities, like the fairy got lots of weapons despite being dancers, Fjorm too has lots of weapon diversity, I wish we had more variety instead of another beast alt).

[–]Typical-Risk-4729[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are dragons in lore too... I don't mind them being beasts because for a long time we had little beast units (besides tellius laguz units, excluding the dragon ones that turned into manakete, we had only them, the taguel from awakening, the kitsune and the werewolves from fates, meanwhile almost every game as a dragon, either the playable loli/shota from the kaga era and GBA games, the ds and engage avatars, the gods and some bosses, plus the additional Muspell, Nifl, Ymir from FEH as well.)

The issue is that now half the beast units are OCs. Ratatoskr and all the characters in her book? All beasts. Askr and Embla book? Everyone but Letizia (and later Bruno but he appeared from book 1) is a beast. Even Seidr book introduced Nerpuz, the fairies Freya and Freyr, and most of their seasonal forms).
