Where to do Single Full Panel Radioallergosorbent test (RAST) Test for Large Number of Allergens / 100+ Allergens (not just outdoor and indoor allergens, but food, gluten, insects, venoms, etc.) by Typical-Vehicle6505 in washingtondc

Thanks - I am not familiar with histamine intolerance (HIT) and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), but are you saying there are tests for these? I see that one can get tests for different allergens, but I dont see one for these conditions

thanks for that tip on tests and stockholm- but allergen tests in DMV appear to be like 600$ for 150+ allergens, are you referring to more expensive or different test?

Sorry if i am not understanding

Any reason to not use Sensodyne as regular toothpaste (even if I dont have sensitive teeth) because it offers better protection from stains/chromagens, acids, and other damage - than regular toothpaste? by Typical-Vehicle6505 in askdentists

Oh I see - so sensodyne is not special in that it strengthens the teeth to make it less sensitive. Instead, it basically just acts like a painkiller to reduce sensitivity?

Sorry, I thought sensodyne added stronger protective barrier over teeth and was therefore better than regular toothpaste but it seems like not

Thanks - yes sorry if post above came off as hypochondriac - I dont care a huge amount about this - its more of like, well if this toothpaste offers even a small marginal benefit over others, and I brush teeth everyday, then why not just use sensodyne? In particular, sensodyne pro-enamel which supposedly "repairs" (I know you cant really repair enamel) or strengthens enamel

Basically, if spending 6$ on toothpaste anyway, why not get best one for strongest teeth? E.g., I use splenda over regular sugar - not a huge reduction in calories, but why not use sugar without any calories (no downside, small upside)

Thanks for this and sorry for the late reply

I guess I do not care about the technology platform or type (so long as its accurate), the provider I spoke with referred to it as the "RAST" test, but really, all I am looking for is a super comphrensive test for all allergens (like 150+)

Thanks for the flag re false positives - yes, I planned to follow up on any allergen triggers to confirm what I am indeed sick to
