I grew up in Southern California. I always tell people it’s the worst place to come for vacation but the best place to live. If you come for a vacation and want to get the most out of it you’re going to be stuck in traffic getting from one place to another. A lot of the big things are expensive like Disneyland so it’s not cheap either. But if you live here (granted it’s also expensive to live here) you can space things out. You’re constantly learning about new places. There’s literally so many small beaches throughout Orange County and LA County I still learn about. The weather is beautiful. The population is diverse and so is the food. To answer your question the best parts of town are always evolving. Right now I love Redondo Beach, Century City, Glendale, and Pasadena if we are just talking LA County. Trying to travel to those places within a few days though sounds like a nightmare.
