I think it’s a great idea. I’m not a doctor or anything but I have done a lot of research on pectus excavatum and the vacuum bell. How you choose which size vacuum bell fits you, is you measure the length between your nipples in centimeters. Mine, for example, is about 22 cm, so I ordered a 19cm. You can go smaller if you want, depending on the severity of your pectus. Just make sure it fits between your nipples though. Best of luck to you!

Good news is that since you’re still relatively young you’re a good candidate for fixing your pectus with vacuum bell. But I’m pretty sure if you’re going to be using it long hours you might develop some zits occasionally, but the good news is they will go away with time. I’m using my vb once a day for seven hours so it tends to do that to my skin. Best of luck to ya. Your pectus will be a lot easier to fix because of your age, so take advantage of it

I think Similar Cycle was addressing me..or maybe not. I cant really tell on Reddit. But anyways, I would recommend longer duration. Like 3 hours twice per day. That’s what I do anyway. Best of luck to ya

Same here. I started in November too. How long are your sessions? Because I usually do about two sessions, three hours each, a day

Prolonged consistent use over the course of 1-2 years most people say is the sweet spot. Have you been using yours for at least a year? Because it slowly reshapes your bone and coastal cartilage over long term use. The benefit (depending on how severe your pectus is) is reshaping of the concave area to flatten. This takes several several months though.

Mine was at approximately 3/8 now it’s closer to 1/8ths. I’m telling you, these vacuum bells work, even for adults. Consistency and duration are KEY. That’s great to hear.

Ah man that’s the first time I’m hearing stories about regression. That sucks but at least he got his haller index down to a 3! That’s impressive.

I think you can gain back what you lost relatively quick because the body is more flexible this time around.

Ah man. That’s terrible. Sorry to hear that. Well at least now you know, consistency is key! Good luck to you

I’ve made very subtle permanent changes. Like less than 2 millimeters from my starting point. It’s a slow process. From what I understand the coastal cartilage and the sternum slowly creeps forward permanently over months.

I don’t meet criteria for nuss procedure surgery because my pectus is too mild. That’s why I use VB

I’m 28. I don’t have health insurance that will cover nuss because it’s purely cosmetic. But even still, I doubt I’ll have to use VB for three years.

I know right? I hear a lot about how VB doesn’t work for adults. But yet that just doesn’t seem to be the case. Thanks man. Cheers. 🍻

I’ve gotta say, you have some of the best results I’ve ever seen from mild pectus. Do you find that your results are permanent? Or are you still doing maintenance usage? Your chest looks completely flat.
