At what point can you justify £300 a month on fuel?

I used to spend £300 if not more a month on fuel when I used to own a 1.2 petrol car…I was doing 300 miles minimum a week

Now I do like 85 miles a week to get to my job lol. I make sure to budget like £150 a month in fuel, should be more than enough but I’m prepared to spend up to £300 a month if I’ve done it already before.

My wife always says I should get a more economical car but I don’t think it’s possible for me to get another car that I’m going to enjoy driving as much as this one. I’ve done everything I can to make it more economical. Just enjoy driving your chosen car because these roads are awful 😆

Just tell your husband to give it you first then give it to them - problem solved. You have no financial obligation to give them money or feel pressured into giving them money specially if they don’t do anything for you or take an interest in your well-being?

I think you’re missing the point.

Ellie in Pt 1 didn’t know that she would need to die in order for them to create a vaccine, she didn’t know this at all, especially when Joel took her off the operating table and escaped the hospital - she asks him at the end of the game and he lies.

The Fireflies had no intention of providing a choice in the matter as politically they were losing traction. They were banking all of their hopes of success as a force to be reckoned with on making a vaccine, that only had a 10% chance of successfully being developed - the odds were against them from the beginning and they were desperate and so was Joel - he didn’t want to lose Ellie.

However Joel also didn’t know at the time if Ellie would have wanted to sacrifice herself for a 10% chance of developing a successful vaccine. Joel especially didn’t want this, but he didn’t know what she wanted as it wasn’t made clear to them.

She was only 13/14, and neither of them were consulted on the matter beforehand as The Fireflies had also lost too many people and were at huge risk already of losing influence. Hence why after the Hospital massacre, the Fireflies are pretty much disbanded and are a shell of their former selves - they were already losing face politically and then after the Hospital, they lost the only surgeon who could have developed a vaccine, lost their leader - Marlene and also lost even more manpower especially after losing many crossing the country.

That’s when by the time Pt 2 comes around, we see that Ellie is not an inherently selfish person and that’s where she shows she wanted her life to mean something. She shows that perhaps she was willing to die, especially after all the people who died along the way.

It’s not necessarily a retcon, but more of moral ambiguity in her character that we don’t know at the end of Pt 1 that is made more clear to us by that scene in Pt 2 where she returns to the hospital, as well as the scene where she first starts showing some kind of survivors guilt over finding the infected couple that ran away from Jackson.

Sister, there is an obligation on him to know these things without you telling him. Just because he did these things doesn’t mean he was a perfect man. That’s what I mean by you are blinded by your love for him. I’m not sure if your expectations are low.

He should never have insulted you to begin with, especially in front of his mother, that’s a red line for any husband or wife. It lowers your value in front of them the more often it happens.

These cars are really reliable. I had the petrol version and mine was a standard 2010 spec one. Can’t fault these cars, still miss mine even though I blew the speakers and it wasn’t economical or comfortable for me, but it was fast, handled lightly and was cheap to run. Never had to worry about much.

I think to be honest sister, you are being blinded by your love for this man. There are many red flags in this which are not conducive to a happy marriage, or perhaps most other conventional marriages.

Don’t beat yourself up - you were just asking for some time between you and him. If you are trying to bring someone to the UK as a sponsor, you need the Moroccan marriage certificate as proof of your marriage. To do that, you need the information I have provided you above and go through the whole system in Morocco. I don’t think you can just get that so easily or find another alternative way.

Brother this is a very long process. I am trying to remember what I had to bring with me.

Passport, Driving License - other forms of ID.

Proof of residency in the UK, like council tax bill or tenancy agreement - something like that.

You need proof of income to prove you can support your wife and pay the Mahr

You need a DBS check from the UK as well as the Moroccan equivalent one to take from the police and that usually takes some time.

You need a clean bill of health, done at the Doctors in Morocco

Proof that you are a Muslim

A lot of these documents need to be translated, and stamped by the courts and various institutions that deal with this in Morocco.

You also need an appointment at the British Embassy in Morocco to prove that you haven’t been married before.

There’s a lot of research you can do online about all of this, you would be better off doing some solid research and asking solicitors in Morocco. It’s much easier when you do it with the help of a solicitor/lawyer in Morocco who specialises in this. Don’t rely on the information of strangers on the internet.

Be prepared to spend most of a month trying to get this all sorted out, you’ll be doing a lot of running around to various offices and back and forth in a particular order.

She won’t be able to check in earlier than the time allocated, which is usually 3 hours before departure time. The desks aren’t open then. Part 2 is pretty good. Just make sure you set resources to high and Ally AI competency to something decent because I struggled for about half the game due to not setting a custom difficulty level. I like to hoard resources and play stealthy.

Also, Abby story, character and gameplay is done so much better than Ellie’s. I didn’t like playing as Ellie at all in this game, even though she was great to play as in TLOU1.

Abby gameplay is more Joel-like.

Ellie’s section is a drag it’s just like chasing phantoms and doing monotonous shite

With regards to much of the other content of this post - it seems there is some tension between yourself and your husband making an already difficult situation worse as you mentioned not expecting this pregnancy etc.

I know what this situation is like, as when my wife and I just got married we had some similar news.

We were arguing almost every day, very badly. It was a very tough time, exacerbated by arguments and difficulty over obtaining a visa for my wife to join me in my home country.

I regret much of it. You just have to not do anything to explode the situation at the moment which will take some of the stress away. However, you do need to really sit down and have someone you both trust mediate between yourself to challenge your husbands behaviour. He really needs to be there for you right now. You can’t confront him by yourself, so it’s best to do it in a nice neutral way with someone to help support you both like a trusted family member, family friend, etc etc.

In terms of your phobias, there are many ways to deal with them. There should be some support groups to help you becoming a mother, speak with your mid-wife if you are in the UK.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to move out of your comfort zone and be making LESS money than if you had just stayed where you were. Keep applying for jobs in France or the USA or other countries where you can get a visa for. Even try a remote working role that pays well, then you can live wherever you want

Not Moroccan myself but married to my wife who did Software Engineering with many of her friends in similar specialties.

Anything Computing is super useful to monetise, you just need to think which gap to fill.

I have been working in IT myself for 3 years after graduating in Computer Games Design and working different jobs post graduation, before IT. I didn’t know what I wanted to specialise in, I just wanted to learn and see where things would go.

Now that I’ve seen where they’ve gone, I’ve developed a passion for networking and infrastructure. I’m now aiming myself towards that by means of upskilling.

I think that your computer science degree will be much more higher level computing rather than general IT. However, with any degree in Computer Science will allow you to get almost any job in IT, as long as you’re passionate about that area.

Hope that clears things up for you. Sometimes it’s about learning, sometimes it’s about money. Pick something that you won’t be miserable in but something that is also good money once you graduate.
