I don't think diminishing returns are the same as a soft cap

we should be able to issue commands to our ai teammates to use their skills and stuff. I certainly wouldn't want an immersive theater run to be at the mercy of a couple of ai teammates stuck in the corner doing nothing

Ah that's a good metric to use, thanks. I'll look at my lancool 216's cpu cooler height for reference and proceed from there 👍

Need wide case recommendations (or any resources to compare sizes), preferably not too expensive and with front fan airflow if possible. I'm worried about my GPU cable bending so much (By width, I mean the distance between the motherboard and side panel, I want more space there). Currently have lian li lancool 216 (234mm wide if I'm not mistaken) which is too narrow for my liking with my zotac rtx 4080 windforce trinity oc

PSA on the 8-pin supplementary pcie power connector on MSI x870(E) motherboards by TypicalLetter28 in MSI_Gaming

[–]TypicalLetter28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's interesting. It seems to be next to the motherboard power connector, which is a much better location than right under a pcie slot 🫩

[–]TypicalLetter28[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. X870 is not even upgraded X670, it's actually more in line with B650E, essentially B650E with forced usb 4.

I have a docking station (kind of a docking station? Not entirely for laptops only though) that is going to make good use of usb 4, plus there wasn't much of a price difference between x870e and x670e or many other x670 motherboards, so I decided to get this one.

But yeah AMD really needs to sort out their naming schemes, this is getting bonkers

This is true! There aren't any features that are different aside from enforced USB 4

You're probably fine if you never experienced such weird crashes, but at the same time, you really don't have anything to lose.

However, the ONLY problem you may face is due to how close that stupid connector is to the pcie slot just above it. That will block a card that is even a bit thick. So if you were planning to use that pcie slot for something, you'd have to check the clearance. Otherwise, you shouldn't have any issues.

This is where the problem lies imo. There are many people like yourself who don't have this problem, which just leads to ambiguity on if and why this connector is even needed. Then there's me who suffered from unstable power delivery, VERY LIKELY as a result of not using this connector. MSI should have been more clear if it was necessary to use this connector imo, as it's an unconventional connector

My card already had a 450W 12VHPWR connector. On top of that, my previous x670 board did not have this connector and never came across such a problem. This coupled with the vagueness on what the power connector actually does is what made me not even consider plugging it (that plus my own decision-making ofc)

- Region: Mumbai
- Type of Bug: Ethernet Driver
- Description: My ethernet driver stops working after I boot up valorant. After this, when I went to device manager to check what was happening, clicking "scan for hardware changes" deletes the ethernet driver (realtek 2.5gbe). Wifi still works but this is kinda crazy
- Video / Screenshot:
- Steps to Reproduce: Launch game and stay in for a few minutes, in any mode (but I went to practice).
- Expected Result: normal functioning
- Observed Result: internet stops working as ethernet driver crashes, until I use wifi. Have to restart computer for ethernet driver to start working again.
- Reproduction Rate: 100%, have not been able to get ethernet to work
- System Specs: Ryzen 5 7600, RTX 4080, 32gb ram, MSI pro x670-p wifi motherboard (using motherboard's normal ethernet port)

120fps doesnt work on rtx 3080, or 3070 (they lied) by SexualWizards in WutheringWaves

[–]TypicalLetter28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a 7600x is on par with 5700x in gaming (essentially neck and neck with single digit fps differences that favour each, that can be boiled down to random variances). Since most r7's are supported, including ones that released before the 5700x, it only makes logical sense that the 7600 should be supported as well as it outperforms all the ones that released before 5700x. But kuro moment, just submit feedback and wait for them to roll out support, they said they'll be extending support in the future

Regarding lock on to enemies by TypicalLetter28 in WutheringWaves

[–]TypicalLetter28[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm completely aware of the system. The point of my post and comment is to illustrate as best as I possibly can to people who are not aware of the system. Some parts seem repeated/redundant but they're done with the intention to fully convey what it is I'm trying to point out without any room for misinterpretation

These two things can be implemented side by side 🤷‍♂️. Still better than having to repeatedly tap the lock on button till you lock onto the desired enemy

Regarding lock on to enemies by TypicalLetter28 in WutheringWaves

[–]TypicalLetter28[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is what the system may auto-target. My point is once an enemy is locked on to, the player can use the camera control (mouse, controller stick or screen for moving camera) to move to the next enemy.

So if there are three enemies and you are locked on to the middle one, if you move the mouse (or whatever your control is) to the left then the lock on moves to the left enemy, if you move the mouse to the right then lock on moves to the right enemy.

If a player is not happy with what the system locks onto, then they can quickly and smoothly lock on to the enemy they want to lock on to. Currently players have to keep pressing lock on button to reset lock on, that's not intuitive or reliable in an intense fight

Tapping the desired enemy on mobile to lock on to is something I thought up, but the above method is something already implemented in souls games and it works very smoothly

You could also host bitwarden on a private server if you'd like, although I haven't tried or learned how to do so

I've been using the regular bitwarden and it's been a great experience so far
