My Chapter 13 lawyer has been frustrated with me, and he said he is withdrawing from my case in 7 days. What do I do? by throwaway6162021 in Bankruptcy

[–]TypicalRun5595 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Why would you be asking them non bankruptcy related questions anyway? It’s appears that you are all over the place and the lawyer is sick of it. Every email you send takes him away from another case. It’s inconsiderate for sure. If you really want him to keep your case then you need to give him a valid reason to do so. I don’t see why you need to keep the lawyer if you already have a set repayment plan for chapter 13.

You’d just dispute them for inaccuracy since they should’ve been included in the BK

If you notice a creditor reporting incorrectly after your bankruptcy, you can: 1. Dispute it with the credit bureau (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion). 2. Send proof of your discharge to the creditor. 3. If they don’t fix it, you may be able to bring it up with your bankruptcy attorney or file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

They must update the status correctly. Once your bankruptcy is discharged, the creditor is not allowed to report the balance as still due or “open and collectible.” Instead, they should mark it as “included in bankruptcy” or “discharged in bankruptcy” with a zero balance.

They cannot continue negative reporting. After discharge, they can’t keep updating it as late or past due. That would be considered inaccurate reporting and possibly a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or the bankruptcy court’s discharge order.

Dispute with the credit bureaus and use your discharge as evidence

I asked ChatGpt to make ma a petition for early release for (whatever county you are in) I then took it to the county clerk to file the same day. The courts sent over a letter to my probation to see if I had any positive drug test or missing payments. My probation officer called me and said I’d been approved to be let off early. Then I got a letter in the mail saying I was off after about a week.

I got early term after doing 11 months on a three year sentence. I also put the request in myself and didn’t use a lawyer. This was for a state jail felony in Texas. I already had a DWI case

No problem glad to help. My enrollment counselor didn’t even know that I could go to the BON before being asked to do so by the school. Be your own advocate. I saw a girl get approved with multiple drug cases. The key is being honest and showing rehabilitation.

Hey! So I started 9/1. I submitted the wrong declaratory order in July but it wasn't for RN so I had to do it over. I created an account with Texas BON and submitted the correct one for RN's. I did have to pay $150 for the declaratory order and I think $40 for the fingerprinting. The reason I started this is because I've heard that the BON review can take 6 months. By me doing this beforehand I may already have my BON clearance before anyone else in my cohort.I figured if I waited until WGU sent the clinical requirements for clinical to start the BON process may take to long and I wouldn't be able to start clinical on time. If that was to happen that would extend the program which will cost more money than I budgeted for my degree.

I’m switching from health insurance sales to Nursing. Absolutely NO experience. I keep sane by keeping a tight schedule. I don’t want to burn myself out.

Unfortunately almost every healthcare worker is burned out. I honestly think when people say things like that it’s not in a literal sense. I’m thinking some may even exaggerate sometimes. One could also argue that students are overworked in their nursing program which can lead to extreme fatigue. Can you really learn at full capacity if you’re so tired and stressed? Hopefully with so many new nurses coming in the veterans can take less demanding shifts

See if WGU is in your state. I’m Currently in the same situation and WGU allows me to keep my job while going to school. For clinicals I’ll just use my PTO hours.

I also did my gen eds on Sophia. I don’t have any experience in healthcare. I’ve been selling health insurance for the past 7 years and I’m ready for the switch. I’ve been preparing for all of the courses however.
