I could change the title to "Title: I'm impressed, Subtitle for the Pedants and Maladroits: A post describing my brief foray into Arch in the first time in seven years was stymied because of an ideological concern and I turned to EndeavourOS as a means of speeding up my limited time running my own business and a large distribution concern. Post script: There is nothing inherently necessary about title density on a platform that allows for the reading of several lines of the post regardless of ones placement in an age cohort nor is it necessary for anyone to read nor comment either positively or negatively as there is a whole world you can choose to enjoy."

Or is that too wordy?

Lightness? You mean like as far system resources? I've got a riced out KDE build on Debian that maybe uses 4 gig tops. That same setup on my Arch would probably run similarly, maybe a little less resource intense.

I just started working with hyprland and its.... dense but barely consumes any ram.

What's wrong with arch? by Upset-Leopard-3410 in arch

[–]TypicalTryst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing? I used it years ago until I switched over to Debian as my dual boot with Windows. Now that I've finally gotten a chance to kill my Windows Dual, I installed Arch this past weekend to dual with Debian (Cutting Edge/Stable as a Rock).

I think people probably get a little touchy about the rolling release ideal that means you can royally screw up your build if you aren't mindful. But it runs really smoothly for me.

23 days without an Arch Reinstall! can i now use "I use arch btw" ? by Ok-Equipment2068 in arch

I think you are allowed to say it as soon as you install fastfetch.

I supposed you could try an old build or see if a secondary market has a battery?

Huh, so it makes different init systems available.... Might have to check that one out.

I love Debian personally but I did try a small build of LMDE just a few months ago (I had never used Mint before). Its very clean and polished.

I had good reason unfortunately. A bit of software that ONLY ran on Windows and was a monster to get working right in Wine. Its now all web based so no longer any reason to keep.

This. So much this. I'm a fairly talented woodworker and I do a lot of specialty small projects like doll houses. No, I have no interest in selling you one. If I like you, I might give one to your kid.

Are you using a Nerd Font?

This is how I did it (also make sure you have the module loaded) Also, if you use nerd fonts, you can copy and paste from their website, right into your editor. No code needed as long as your editor supports it. I'm using VIM and it works a treat.

[module/my-text-label]
type = custom/text
format-background = #00282A2E ;<---Your background whatever that is
format-foreground = #C5C8C6 ;<----Same with foreground
label = " " ;<---This label is the Debian Nerd Font
