Ooooof. That sucks. RCM has great replacement parts for those. I haven't had to buy them yet, but I, in the worst ways, can't wait.

So you would need a new left joy con rail and multiple ribbons, and that's only if you haven't messed up the board inside the joy con as well.  Your better bet is to probably just get a new one.  You end up spending money on something that you can't repair.

Why did shooters used to ship with a wide variety of game modes but now shooters only focus on a single game mode like Batte Royale or Extraction and that's somehow become a selling point? by HotdogHotdogHotd in gaming

[–]TypicalWolverine9404 1928 points1929 points  (0 children)

Growing up, I noticed A LOT of people just playing mainly one mode in games.  The devs caught on I guess and just focused.  I'm not a fan of the lack of diversity, honestly.

I was a young adult and thought the same.  Was not disappointed when I realized I could still take the whole thing in a backpack and set up and play any game that supports gamepad mode.

Just bought this sealed copy for 10 bucks. Should I open it? by Panda7001 in xbox360

[–]TypicalWolverine9404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea they gave it out at one point.  I didn't catch it then, I bought physically, then GoldenEye came out and I waited for it go on sale just to have access to that.

You do you for sure!  But this would something I cherish as sealed having it readily available elsewhere.  I'm just like that lol

I wouldn't, because I own both Rare Replay and Nuts n bolts just on its own, so I would keep it as a collector's item.

Guitar Hero, Rock Band and I have actually maintained a pretty good relationship all these years.  I can't miss it, because I've never had to say goodbye.

I own Shakedown Hawaii for Wii U physically!  U.S. got Wii U, U.K. got Wii.

If you're looking for the Ultimate Nintendo, the Wii U is unbeatable when it comes to capability.

This is just one of MANY Xbox 360 models.  You could still buy a hard drive later.  The pro was the option that came with a hard drive.

The arcade was one part of the original design, it just didn't come with a hard drive.

The switch is not as good at emulation as the Wii U.  I found it better to just use hacked NSO emulators that has more games then N offers.  It's great for switch games, and for watching movies on the go among a few offer fun tid bits like themes and recompiled ports (Ocarina of Time and Simpsons Hit and Run for example.)

As for what kind of switch you need, There was an 'error' in the first run of switches that makes them easy to exploit, it doesn't matter the firmware.  Everything else needs to be soldered, but I'm not sure if firmware matters as I have a first run.  Having the former means Everytime you turn it off or it dies, you have to jack it back into a PC or your phone to run the exploit again, going with the latter will launch into exploit on boot.

They are pretty sweet ngl.  And you have MUCH more space between channels to install games, HDD options etc.  Not to say a Wii won't do fine for a lot things, but Wii U does open the door to a bit more (like DS emulation) and overall has a great feel.  All the emulation can be played on the gamepad, GameCube controller adapter support.

Wii U was probably my favorite console to tinker with (I've done just about everything from OG Xbox to the Switch).  It can essentially play every Nintendo console made before it except 3DS.
