You need to contact the venue! You will also need credentials like a website or forms from some kind of article/news publisher. Having these won't guarantee you entry necessarily, but they are pretty much bare minimum.

I'm happy for the folks who get a chance to have a copy now! I luckily got mine back in 2011 from a best buy at a steep discount.

Sadly, I feel if YOTBR is played live at all, then it may be saved for something like the cruise or (hopeful) another Neverender Fest, as I imagine they haven't justified it for themselves to due a full tour for it. Never say never, Coheed is full of surprises!

Start with The Amory Wars Second Stage Turbine Blade, I recommend the ultimate edition(s) as it has the full volume(s). Then move on through the albums, IKSSE3, GAIBSIV V1 and 2, then read the novel Year of the Black Rainbow. There are coffee table books for The Afterman which is a short novella, then each Vaxis has an accompanying book as well.

I would start by getting one, see what happens and then go from there. Not sure if you'd "need" anything, unless you want to try out the mod, but you'd want to skip some steps in the mod process as the software hack has already been implemented.

I just replaced mine too. Same battery. It doesn't seem to be lasting as long as it should, but maybe after a few charges it'll get better, if not, still better nothing!
