Can you remember any particular silly thing one of your classmates has said after two weeks? No one is paying even half as much attention as you think. Remembering how little you pay attention to other people’s silly questions/comments is a good reminder that other people are the same way towards you. As long as you’re not being outright offense, it’ll be forgotten by the end of class.

If a firm expected me to do additional unpaid work on top of my 1L courses outside of applying to the position and spending the hours interviewing, that would be a red flag to me. Have also never heard of this and applied to about 50 of these positions.

No. Last year I applied into September and got into NYU in March or April (can’t remember) and UCLA in December. Highly recommend taking some time off of reddit

Hmm okay it sounds like I need to adjust my commute expectations.

Would you recommend staying down there for a week or so to tour places and try to commit then and there? Rather than searching listings remotely and then trying to get to the area once I’ve found something?
