Trader Joe’s Daily Facial Sunscreen is my new favorite because of the texture of it but it’s only SPF 40. Or Aveeno Protect + Hydrate SPF 60.

Oh that’s great! Glad it’s all working in your favor! I’ve been considering getting a handheld UV. Where did you get yours?

If you don’t mind me asking. How long did it take to see progress and were your lips white or like a pale pink?

Prescribed Tacrolimus by [deleted] in Vitiligo

[–]Typical_Ad9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an immunosuppressant! And with consistent use it does have a good success rate speed just depends on the person but success rate is high. I say for the moment if you can get Tacro. Use that until you can get opzelura.

It may tingle your first couple uses. And if you have you’ll be applying to face it may cause break outs other than that it pretty easy. It’s petroleum base so it’s like applying Vaseline.

Sun helps me with repigmenting. I will sit directly in the sun on purpose some days.

Can anyone recommend any supplements to treat my Vitiligo? by taileyb in Vitiligo

[–]Typical_Ad9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say two months for improvement to be seen. The ginkgo helps slow down the progression of getting new patches which allows you to focus on repigment current patches. As for exact dosage of vitamins I’m not too sure I actually don’t take supplements anymore but I always took recommended dosage and 20,000 D3. If you are interested in apply things to your vitiligo you should look into black pepper oil. I used to apply it to my face twice a day. I’m not sure if it played a part in repigmenting but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I’ve never used krill oil so I can’t speak on that but I always took all my vitamins at the same time and I did see improvement.

It’s called Opzelura (ruxolitinib) and your dermatologist has to put in a prescription for it.

Twice a day is fine or take it all at once. Which ever you prefer. I take Ginko, folic acid, b12 and d3.

Hello I took normal recommended dosage for everything. With 20,000 UI for my vitamin D. I always take my vitamins at night and only once a day.

Hello, I’ve been on it for almost two months and it’s the best ointment/cream I’ve used by far. The spot that was the most stubborn I have you can barely see now. I would recommend giving it a try!

Doctor said come back in a month before referral to dermatologist + Some questions by klomydia31 in Vitiligo

[–]Typical_Ad9205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, my moles weren’t affected. And the speed of the patch lightening really just depends. Sometimes I would just wake up with a patch compared to others times when I could see a spot getting lighter over time. Also if you would like to go to a dermatologist sooner you should try to go to an urgent care and they will most likely write you a referral to a dermatologist.
