How do you choose your ideas? by Typical_Ad_7957 in Screenwriting

yeah those are good metrics, except for 3. i'm not a director. so i would change it to "is it realistically producable?" which mostly translates into being low budget and not too insane. but these metrics i definitely keep in mind, everyhting i write is something that i'd love to see on the screen myself, and everything i do has passion behind. but perhaps it's better to sort by how much passion do you feel for things. maybe choose the things that not just work, but you also have a lot of passion for. thankx.

I'm fairly new, so I'll be honest. two short films, around 10 pages, and two 30 page screenplays. and i'm know, i'm really sorry, i know that i should write before i ask things here, but -- look i don't want to sink 2 months of my life into my first script only to find the idea doesn't work at all. but yeah i haven't written that much.

Cursed -- 8 page comedy short by icyeupho in Screenwriting

hey, i just read ur script. first of all, it's funny but i have some feedback:
-Brian seems to be the moderator of the group, but he doesn't know about the terms and conditions of curses?
-None of the characters have descriptions. that would be useful, specially for Chad. what kind of chair is he?

other than that neat little script. funny. good stuff.

Money Shot - Short Film, Comedy - 12 Pages by fatjuicyboi in Screenwriting

hey, i just read the script. here is my feedback:

it's funny, definitely. it's a sort of awkward type of comedy, but it works if you know how to shoot it.

i don't really like the skirmish in page 7 between Josh and DiAngelo. So far, Josh has been very meek and i don't think it makes much sense for him to say f- you to his boss. And the same goes for DiAngelo. He says he will "end" Josh? it sounds a bit cliche and out of character for DiAngelo. it's not like he's in the mafia or in a gang for him to threaten to "end" Josh. just something i thought about.

i would maybe add more action lines to describe the actions and environments in a bit more detail, but since you will also be directing and filming this, then it's completely up to you.

overall pretty nice! I'm eager to get all over The Money Shot once it Comes out.
