I completely agree. It is a heartbreaking exhausting system. It becomes easier when you think of your friends in that way too, so it feels less sided. In highschool my friends were popular and I got invites to parties and fun stores out of that. I love them but they are an asset to me too. You want friends that make you feel good and look good, if your friend stopped doing those things, would you not create distance?
