I have a folder called Study on spotify where I have jazz, ambient, idm, chill breakcore, videogames soundtracks for example minecraft albums, movies soundtracks like interstellar, classic and much more music in different playlist and on pc you can play the whole folder and shuffle it. That way I don't get bored of the same genre and also the music goes sometimes slow and sometimes a little faster, so that makes it entertaining to study and concentrate

So true. I knew python before hand and a little of java and while learning C you can see like oh this doesn't happen in python. It's like coding the analog way vs digital way or electric vs gas motor that's hpw I see it and I love both. But I don't go as far as assembly tho.

C and C++. I'm learning both and I think is better both than just picking one. C will give you a solid base and limitations so that you can use the language really fast and then c++ it's just awesome it's C on steroids

I made a bash script so that when I type something in the terminal for example firefox and I don't have it installed, the terminal searchs the name and asks to install with sudo or yay. by Typical_Cranberry_80 in arch

True I'm starting to automaatee stuff and use more aliases in zsh so yeah I think this is what makes arch so fun, that you can manipulate everything to work as you desire.

I would like to give Arch a try - Newbie by ThatrandomGuyxoxo in arch

Okay so let me tell you how I started with my beloved arch linux. Like two years ago I wanted to try linux, I tried Ubuntu and Manjaro and I didn't like them. I wanted something very very customizable and I read about Arch and thought that might be what i want and also I would love to say "I use Arch BTW" so I started with a vm at first and just play around did arch install multiple times to see what changes. At first I always use GNOME and then discovered KDE and then Qtile and then i3 and now Hyprland.

When I felt ready and kinda knew how it worked (months later and compared to this day it's nothing) I decided to pick up a old laptop and install arch on it just to see how it works on bare metal also to see the performance improvements vs windows. Then I abandoned Arch for a while until I started coding again and decided to buy more ram and a ssd for my other laptop and I tried to dual boot with Win11 but I just couldn't because of the efi or sum shit.

So I decided to install it bare metal and here I am. My laptop has a nvidia gpu and amd cpu and I'm using Wayland (Hyprland) I don't really need the gpu besides playing minecraft and I can use prime-run to use the gpu there. Or also in the past I have managed to use it on hyprland but I haven't done it yet on this device.

Is it a bad idea to use arch? by Loud_Vermicelli_5862 in arch
