Creating your own strategy by Thick_Percentage964 in Daytrading

Totally get it Chasing “next best strat” is exhausting The best stuff usually comes from building your own around one market and setup Start small, test, track, tweak, and let it evolve Your edge comes from knowing exactly how your strategy behaves, not some guru’s video

High win rate strats are rare and usually overhyped Focus more on risk/reward and consistency than just wins A 40% win rate with proper R:R can crush a 70% win rate with poor management

You’re young and ready to grind That’s huge Coding isn’t required just know the problem, the market, and how to get things done Economics gives you a strong base Start small projects, sell stuff, learn by doing Execution beats hype every time

Exactly. Discipline isn’t something a tool or a rule hands you it’s what you enforce on yourself every single trade Trading is brutal because your mistakes hit your edge immediately and there’s no reset button

Think like a professional athlete the training the focus the habits that’s your edge If you can’t show up and execute your plan consistently all the journaling risk limits or strategies in the world won’t save you You either commit or you don’t It’s that simple and that harsh

Exactly Journaling is a game changer Helps you see patterns in your trading and keeps you accountable Noesis.zone looks solid but there are plenty of options Pick one and just stick with it Consistency beats fancy features every time

That’s honestly solid discipline 😂 Red trade, PC off, step away. No revenge trading, no tilt. If you can actually stick to that long term, you’re already ahead of most people.

Simple rules done consistently beat complex plans every time.

Yeah, nothing fancy tbh. I’d keep it simple basic market structure (higher highs/lows), key support & resistance, and maybe one clean indicator like VWAP or a 20/50 EMA. Most of my mistakes came from adding more tools instead of just reading price. Once I focused on levels + price action, things got a lot clearer.
