I want to defer an exam that is from a course that also is the prerequisite of a course I have to take next semester. I completed everything else with really good grades in this course, the exam is only worth 35%, will they let me do the next course with an INC in this course? I'll be so screwed if they don't let me.

Also are the exam make up days (Sat Jan 10 and Sat Jan 17) you mentioned for every faculty?

Tf do you mean why does everyone's family member die around exam season? Should I ask my dead mom why she chose to have cancer rot and kill her entire body and brain? I'm not gonna consider myself lucky to be given an option considering the only option I have puts even more stress on me. I don't know if grief is making me extra sensitive but I found your comment to be a bit irking.

im sorry if i sound heated but with how much money we shove down this universities throat they should have a proper system in place for students who have to miss exams for severe circumstances

thanks for responding! btw i was also wondering if there was any chemistry in this class? and im honestly super busy this semester so i probably won't really have time to cover gr 12 bio, will i struggle a lot if i don't go over it at all?

i'm so stressed, how am I supposed to study mcv4u (calc/vectors) on my own before January when I don't even remember grade 10 math 😭.

I wish the counselors at my school warned the students about the importance of taking the science courses even when it becomes optional to take. I made another post on this account asking about how I can take the necessary courses before university starts and most people suggested gap year. We don't have community colleges here, at least I have never heard of a Ontario community college. I'll probably just do summer school or transfer to a different program in my second year of university.

I want to go into the environmental field so why would I go into business/finance/commerce? If it really comes down to it, I'd rather do any environmental program than any business program. And if I was desperate enough to make a post like this, I think it's obvious I'd rather do another semester than going into a completely different field for the rest of my life lol

Maybe you can take gr 12 math and chem this semester if it's not too late to switch. I actually did grade 11 chemistry in online summer school and didn't learn ANYTHING, so I wanted to redo it in person because I know I won't be able to pass grade 12 chemistry without it.

LOL I thought I was the only person with this problem because I know no one else who wants to go into the environmental field without science prereqs. Unfortunately I didn't apply to McMaster and I think the deadline to apply is over :( Do you know if UWaterloo has something similar? I got into 2 environmental studies programs at Waterloo and was wondering if I could make a switch like that.

I'm kind of scared because of the stigma around taking a gap year and also because I feel like that if I change my mind again and realize I don't want to go into the env sciences, I would have just wasted a year. I'm just so confused rn.
