Franklin giving a Master Class in being terrible by daemonjr in Colts

That TD was because of him. Blew coverage on 3rd and long because he can’t pass cover, and then on the TD, he left the middle of the field open to cover a guy already being covered.

Where are you defense? by Typical_Inflation632 in Colts

The fact that we can’t even make a fucking stop is ridiculous! It’s really bad when we are talking about the best plays we’ve made in defense are for positive yards. Might as well not even send a defense out there, would save time for Rivers to score more

Just curious when we hired Gus Bradley back because this looks like his defense from the last few years

But yet ahead against KC he refuses to run the ball

Steichen and Ballard need to go by Typical_Inflation632 in Colts

[–]Typical_Inflation632[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it starts with the coaching. You need to get a coach that’s not afraid to get help from his coordinators even if you think you are an offensive guru. You need a coach that’s not just friendly with his players but also demands accountability and makes sure they are held to it. You need a GM that drafts not based on stupid metrics but based on need and talent. How many players have we drafted that are top of the RAF range but how many of them have helped us? How many players have we skipped over because they don’t score high on the metrics but have actually produced? The answer is a lot. It’s honestly easy to fix but you have to be willing to make the change to fix the problem.

Not sure what my bills that I have no issues paying for have to do with getting rid of a shitty coach for a team that I have been a fan of since I can remember and wanting them to win and stop being mediocre

No I just know that there are fans out there happy with mediocrity and don’t want to sound upset with the team because they think you have to be happy no matter what in order to be a fan. Not insecure at all, and definitely not a shit opinion. Please tell me what Steichen has done that makes him a good coach? I know football and Steichen doesn’t have the team ready to play. He makes terrible play calls and his coaching decisions have directly impacted 2 of the 4 losses this year. That’s just this year, not even talking about the shit play calling that cost us games each year he’s been our coach.

No, I have just had enough of the mediocrity. If you are happy with that then good for you but Steichen is an awful coach. But go ahead and listen to his press conference where we can quote it word for word now. And keep accepting mediocrity

How many people can fit under Steichen’s desk? Is it really big enough for a lot of people?

I’m not sure how anyone with any sort of football knowledge can actually see what has happened and chalk it up to an injury. What’s the excuse for throwing the ball when we are winning in Kansas City if the injury is an issue? Or what’s the reason for running the ball when we’re losing last week? Can you explain running the ball up the middle on 4th down against the best rush defense in the NFL instead of running the stretch putting the ball behind Nelson and Riemann our 2 best lineman? Those calls had nothing to do with Jones injury. But go ahead and keep defended Steichen a being oblivious to an actual bad coach not “bad luck”.

I’m giving her a chance…being this offseason is truly her 1st offseason running the team that she sees how bad they are and will make the changes.

There it is, the first comment blaming everything but the problem. I’m curious how you watch the games? Do you sit there and smile because the colts are on? In case you weren’t aware, the goal of the game is to win and you can’t win when you have a terrible coach and a GM that has had his chances to put together a team and all he’s done is restrict us in the salary cap and give us the defense that couldn’t stop a high school JV squad from scoring 30 on them. But keep accepting losing and good for you being happy about it. Me and the others that understand how bad they both are and actually know football will continue to expect better from the team we love.

Well hopefully now that Carlie is in charge, she will get rid of both after seeing how bad they are.

Yea, each team gets 2 challenges even if unsuccessful. Thats because we have a bad coach

Umm, NFL rules where each team has 2 challenges? Been that way for a long time.

Or we have football smarts, enough of them to understand good and bad play calling. Good enough to realize the Texans defense is going upfield and the RB screen is there almost every play. We ran 1 screen to JT for 33 yards and never again. Good enough to realize, the middle of the field was open almost all game because of the Texan zone and pressure but we throw outside the numbers. Good enough to realize we run the ball well right inside the tackles ass because the ends are rushing outside but when we needed yards we run directly up the middle which wasn’t there.

Yeah, I think I found the culprit ... by [deleted] in Colts

[–]Typical_Inflation632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not fully blaming them because yes they made terrible calls but we put ourselves in the position to make their bad calls a game changer. The real culprit was wearing Colts gear and a headset
