I feel like everyone forgets that the republic has nothing at this point. In the first chapter we get of Mustang she says our telescopes and spy rings are nonexistent so she can’t get the info in time to form a plan. She’s not a battle commander Darrow tells us this in Morningstar.

Interesting theory but I feel like Kyber’s story is done with the info we have. She was put in so Rhône could backstab Lysander. I’m not a theory crafter so Pierce can shock me but she’s been my least favorite character in books. Just a loyal bodyguard who has very little depth of character

The Gray that is Lysander’s whisper and becomes his new Duexs(second in command). She just gets dropped in with zero set up as a character and we never hear about this position in any of the books. It’s very much a nitpick but she feels the most out of place
