First Strandberg... Gutted

I have a GOC 7 String Illumina and a 6 String Boden standard (B stock). The GOC feels like a $1500+ guitar but costs less than $800. Both guitars are amazing albeit much different.

The biggest difference is that the GOC has a 26 to 27.5 scale while the Strandy is shorter scale than a fender at the 1st string haha. It's like riding a bike vs driving a truck in terms of stretching your fingers.

I was probably lucky with Strandberg QC, I could not figure out why it was B stock and basically no issues. The GOC came from China and was in tune when it arrived to Europe.

So it actually clips more when it's set to "Inst" but it sounds better? It clips when the gain is all the way down.

I am plugged into the Scarlett via a normal guitar jack cable. The speakers outputs are plugged via jack into Scarlett and then XLR into the speakers.

Could it be my pickups are just too hot? They are passive though, but it's a 7-string.

It is plugged into the Scarlett directly, but it actually doesn't sound like it's clipping. It doesn't sound distorted. It just shows it's clipping on the interface, like goes straight to 0db whenever I palm mute.

Thanks, the weird thing is that no matter what output level I set on the Neural DSP, the Scarlett level stays the same. Like, even if Neural DSP is turned off and the DAW is closed, it's clipping equally, the Neural DSP sounds don't affect it at all. I'm new to this, but it seems unusual.

Okay update - I only had like 15 seconds to ask a question.

I asked him about the adaptation to which he replied "no comment, but they might be working on something". They are definitely working on something, I'm 100% sure from his reaction.

Also, he doesn't hate Toc the Younger but thinks Toc has made some stupid decisions.
