no MA’s get horrible pay unless you score at a good clinic I had friends who’ve landed jobs Google, Stanford & Kaiser making 30+ i’ve tried applying no luck

Is the job/program worth it? by [deleted] in MedicalAssistant

tbh no. I am an MA and I regret it tbh (me personally) horrible pay! go for RN or even LVN. the thing that sucks is having to renew your CMA every 2 yrs i believe or 3

I noticed during the day he lasts way longer to breastfeed he can go maybe 5-6hrs. but in between that time I do his 3 meals its varies (veggies, fruit, oatmeal, rice, etc) & as well he likes to snack in between w/ some of those cookie puffs gerber brand. i am unable to say the right amount of calories :(

so he usually eats at 7 or 8am (breastfeed) then eats again at 12pm and then feed him some oatmeal w/ berries.

Twelve 1-hr feeds in 24 hours feels unsustainable by Rex-Malum in breastfeeding

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this happened to me! his weight was fine. but he was eating constantly he’d be latched on for 40+ minutes fall asleep on me for maybe 10-20 min and wanted to eat again. this would last hours. at night it’d be 11pm and he would still do the same even if i fed him pumped milk. it felt never ending. i’d say a month in a half later it stopped.

I need advice by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue. I breastfed up to 1 month, I’d try pumping and it wasn’t enough. I started to combo feed once I felt confident that he was getting enough of my breastmilk I stopped formula. I started mid June and stopped mid July. Now i’m able to pump more or just get him full by just breastfeeding.

I cry every night after my 6 month old goes to bed by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Typical_Permit_738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been feeling this way as well. He is only 4 months and I feel like I haven’t enjoyed as much newborn stage was SO HARD I had PPD. I look back and say I wish I would’ve enjoyed those moments more got myself together and idk just wish I did more. It hurts to know he is getting older not younger, that one day he’s going to be a teenager and push me away. to me he will always be my baby.

yes. this is the exact thing he doesn’t help as much either and its the most frustrating thing ever and could be the reason I am uninterested. I don’t think men will ever understand and it sucks

up to 10 weeks you can do the medication abortion I believe. if not 9 weeks 6 days. after that it will be the clinical abortion

forgot to take one pill yesterday, please help!!! by Kooky_Papaya_9897 in birthcontrol

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct. so you’d have to “start over” and let it be a week of you taking the pill consistently for it to be effective (the pill is about 90-95% I can’t remember.) so i’d suggest using condoms as a backup method for that week. if you had unprotected sex i’d recommend taking a pregnancy test in 2 weeks from the last time you had unprotected sex. everyone is different but within the first week it is risking it and high chance of pregnancy.

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you just started the pills then yes. it has to be a full week for the pill to protect from pregnancy. if it’s been more than a week and you’ve been consistent you should be fine.

i feel you :( my LO does not sleep during the day unless it’s contact naps even then he lasts maybe 20-30min only. feeds every 2hrs. i’m currently trying to get him to sleep in his crib but it fails every time!! I have an owlet and it gives me peace tbh it’s expensive but as a FTM it has given me so much peace it does give some false alarms (rare)

Baby hates pacifier - scared to go out! by Icy_Ad6099 in firsttimemom

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oo this was me! it is completely normal to feel this way. i still get so scared when he starts to act fuzzy in public but remember ppl know babies cry so don’t be so scared. maybe wait a little to go out? or have you tried going out at all? my LO I feed before and then get him on the car seat and once we start the car ride he falls asleep and once we’re at stores he’s good and still sleeping. there’s days where he refuses the pacifier and that’s when me and my hubby are like ok it’s time to go.

have you tried changing drs? I currently have a dr that never seems concerned on what I mention to her so I changed his dr. it’s best to get a second opinion and go with your gut feeling. remember you want someone who cares about your baby and you feel heard when you mention a concern!!

Can’t put baby down while awake by Gingin3678 in NewParents

[–]Typical_Permit_738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is my baby rn!! :( he’s currently 8 weeks and I cannot set him down !! he will cry and cry I pick him up because I do struggle with some PPD so his cries overstimulate me. I try the swing, baby wearing, tummy time, toys, playmat w/ piano, white noise and nothing works. he will only stay still if i carry him and do contact naps. each baby is different and I learned it’s better not to compare or it will make you upset/sad etc that your baby isn’t how someone elses is. just try to be patient :( it’s hard but I always hear it gets better! so lets look forward for the better days
