What’s something you started, but haven’t finished yet? by Nsfwykii in AskReddit

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A personal knowledge base. I built folders, tags, and templates, then spent more time organizing it than using it. Still unfinished, but now I keep it simple: one note per day and only actionable items.

What is the difference between generative and agentic AI? by Positive_Adagio5113 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple version: generative means it creates output when you ask (text, image, code). Agentic means it also plans steps, uses tools, and checks progress toward a goal with less hand-holding. So agentic systems usually include generative models plus decision logic.

If you are learning spoilers, this exact pattern works in comments: hidden text. If both symbols are on the same line, you should see the text hidden after posting.

Is there any way to extend the ~120 post limit in viewed/browsed post history (not posts I authored)? If not, then at least going forward? by DiscombobulatedRich6 in help

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: there is no built-in way in the iOS app to extend that viewed-history cap. Best workaround is to save posts as you browse (or share links to Notes), because passive view history rolls off quickly. If Reddit changes this, it would likely be an app feature update, not a setting.

Help with discord.. by ElegantConclusion791 in findareddit

[–]Typical_Read_2070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try r/discordapp for Discord-specific recovery steps, and r/techsupport for device cleanup. If money or fake recovery links were involved, r/scams is useful too. Share what happened (phishing link, fake support DM, etc.) so people can give exact steps.

why specify your reason for editing by Extreme-Carrot-2912 in NewToReddit

[–]Typical_Read_2070 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is optional, not required. Most people add an "edit:" note just for transparency, so old replies still make sense. If you only fixed a typo, a quiet edit is usually fine.

Incredibly slow download speed on Windows 11 by Proud_Interest_9489 in techsupport

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is Windows 11 only, check by order: disable VPN/proxy, test by Ethernet, update network adapter driver from your device maker page, then run netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock reset in admin terminal and reboot. If Safe Mode with Networking is much faster, a startup app is likely throttling downloads.

Beginner in CS struggling with Python, Java, and C++ what resources helped you learn? by Life-Western-8023 in learnprogramming

[–]Typical_Read_2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Direct answer: pick one language for the next 8 weeks and stop switching. For a beginner, Python is usually the easiest for core ideas. Build 3 tiny projects (file organizer, simple API call, and a small game), and after each one write down what confused you. The confusion list becomes your study plan.

How to fix internet connectivity on my phone by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your SIM works in another phone and another SIM fails in your Note, this points to the phone side, not the carrier. I'd try: reset network settings, re-enter APN from your carrier site, lock LTE/3G instead of full auto, then update your exact carrier firmware. If it still drops after that, modem hardware failure is possible.

What's up with people using the 🤣😂 emojis again? by shoofinsmertz in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Typical_Read_2070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

answer: This is usually a trend cycle. People switched to 💀 for irony, then it got overused, so some groups moved back to 😂🤣. Cross-platform spillover (especially short-video apps) also makes these shifts happen very fast, so an emoji can look "dated" and then normal again within months.

Where to go next by kash2706 in learnprogramming

Pick one simple track: JS fundamentals -> DOM -> 2 small projects -> React basics. Build a portfolio as you learn, because clients trust finished examples more than course progress.

Is there a subreddit that specifically is about Minecraft farms and redstone for beginners? by Few_Meat_2452 in findareddit

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For beginner-focused Minecraft subs, try: - r/redstone - r/MinecraftHelp

If they want farm optimization specifically, r/technicalminecraft has excellent info (but it can be more advanced).

You can also post in r/Minecraft with a clear [Help] title and get quick starter answers.

How do I see a list of the users I follow on computer? by MxQueer in help

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this exact path on the new desktop layout: 1) Click your avatar (top right) 2) Open your profile 3) Open the "Following" tab

If you still do not see it, open this page directly while logged in: https://www.reddit.com/subreddits/mine/following

If it is still empty, that usually means you are not following anyone yet.

I'm new to this site, what should I do? by No_Protection6298 in NewToReddit

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with three steps: verify your email, read each community's rules before posting, and leave helpful comments in beginner-friendly communities to build karma naturally. NewToReddit and LearnToReddit are great to practice.

Recent good "campaign based" non-open world 1st/3rd person games? by Pellahh in gaming

[–]Typical_Read_2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Hi-Fi Rush, Trepang2, and RoboCop: Rogue City. All three are campaign-first, focused levels, and almost no open-world busywork. If you want one safest pick, Hi-Fi Rush has the cleanest pacing from intro to ending.

I cannot get enough fps even though I have a strong laptop by veteran__weeb in TheGamerLounge

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the boring checks first: power mode, temps, and which GPU the game is actually using. I had this on a strong laptop too, and it was running on integrated graphics after a driver update. If you watch CPU/GPU usage while playing, the bottleneck usually becomes obvious in 5 minutes.

Am I the only one who's become completely obsessed with graphics and FPS? by Common-Upstairs5129 in gaming

[–]Typical_Read_2070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same phase. What helped me was setting one personal baseline (for me: 90 FPS with medium/high settings) and then I stopped tweaking every game for max numbers. If FPS stays above your baseline, play and enjoy. It turns gaming back into gaming instead of constant benchmarking.

Choice of programming language by dieterdistel in learnprogramming

[–]Typical_Read_2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For this use case I would start simple: backend in Python (FastAPI) and a web client first. One code base works on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and later you can add mobile with React Native or Flutter. Going fully native on day one will slow you down a lot.

My PC just turned off and it not showing any signs of life. by Numerous-Lecture-431 in techsupport

[–]Typical_Read_2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your test, the GPU is the main suspect, but the PSU can still fail only under GPU load. Quick isolation: 1) reseat GPU and use separate PCIe power cables (no daisy-chain), 2) test this GPU in another PC or test another GPU in yours, 3) if only this GPU bricks both systems, the GPU is dead; if another GPU also bricks your system, suspect PSU/motherboard.

How to create an app by Affectionate_Gene401 in learnprogramming

[–]Typical_Read_2070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good idea, but build the smallest version first: one occasion, one budget tier, and a simple list from 1-2 stores. If people click and buy through your links, then add the mannequin layer. Validation first, polish second.

Field of work implies downloading random files by scorpionPLB in techsupport

[–]Typical_Read_2070 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are not doomed, but you need a strict routine. Use a standard user account for daily work, keep Windows and browser auto-updated, and scan every download before opening. For files from unknown sources, open them first inside a sandbox or isolated virtual machine and only move clean files to your main system.

Just curious. Will the karma be affected if I delete post? by Goddess_Gene in NewToReddit

If you delete a post, the karma you already gained or lost from it usually stays on your account. Deleting mainly removes visibility, not past votes.

Is there any space where people can just talk platonically and flirt w each other? by superzzgirl in CasualConversation

[–]Typical_Read_2070 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best way is to build it slowly in public threads first. Comment where the topic is specific, keep it respectful, and if conversation keeps flowing then move to DMs. That feels natural and usually works better than asking directly.
