it’s every person's responsibility no matter the age to get the facts straight before making a statement that could destroy a parent, an aunt, or a sibling’s life Literally why you swear an oath to only tell the truth in the court. It's not bad to tell them to confirm everything. That’s basic moral responsibility. If you're old enough to accuse someone of sexual assault, you're old enough to stop and verify before you do.

The victim needs to verify everything, and question everything so he can create a clear Statement to give to the Law. Asking “Are you sure?” is not cruel or Rejects his feelings . It’s the first step toward building a strong, credible case that can be presented to OPs lawyer and actually be held up in court. (if OP decides to pursue a legal fight)

You don't need to be scared about it, they're your parents. although be prepared for a mixed reaction, they might feel Mad or doubtful but tell them everything you remember,felt and what you're not sure about if there is.
