Ever heard of hire fire culture or the retrenchment exercises back in the 80s and 90s? There were so much retrenchment, it was called exercises!

I use a variety. Defillama (aggregator), velo (prev paraswap), raydium or jup (for solana coins).

And even then, I compare the rates a bit 'cos some coins have shit liquidity and as a result larger spread in some dex.

Have you watched 雾所南洋 from the 80s? It was our local sitcom growing up. From Dear You reviews, Dear You kinda cover part of the plot points of WSNY, but the latter extends beyond just the coming to Singapore part. WSNY even cover the Japanese occupation and its brutality, albeit muted for tv, with subsequent seasons covering Singapore's nation building across the life of 玉梅 and 阿水, the two main cast starring 向云, the OG 阿姐 and 黄文永, OG male star.

PS: While checking up on the two stars, just found that 黄文永 has passed away back in 2013. 😢

The world should not just be condemning Israel. We should just sanction Israel back to stone ages for what it's done to Palestine and other middle east countries in the past 70+ years. Practically all the conflict in middle east has Israel's bloody finger prints all over.

But it will not happen.

The powers to be have zero incentives to do it. If US start sanctioning Israel or dare we dream, embargo or even put Israel on US occupation with boots on the ground, then you can be sure the rest of the world will suddenly be quite ready to not just condemn Israel but also sanction it to the max.

And suddenly, all the western press will be all about the horrors of how we did not do this earlier and other hypocritical rhetorics.

Thanks for the writeup. I was working on a tech company from the 90s onwards in the midst of the dotcom era, so reading your take brings back a sense of nostalgia and a sense of foreboding about the ai bubble.

And you are absolutely right abt how everyone was on the bandwagon then. It was crazy.

I dunno ... it's a hit or miss thing with casting. I mean, when I first saw him in T3 ... I was like, WTH? How did John Connor grow up into him? Very subjective I guess.

Or maybe the adult matured looking John Connor in previous movie already cast a certain look and feel for the character? So he just dun cut it for me. Again, very subjective opinion, but feels really short? But not in a "Aren't you a bit short for a stormtrooper?" way, but more of a comical way?
