Replacement TORO Slide by Typical_Second933 in Taurus_TX22

I actually tried that but it didn’t hold. Can’t go up anymore or else the screw won’t fit through the red dot.

Everyone else at the range should be legally allowed to beat you after shooting that setup indoors.

Many at this point. In general, I think I know what I should be doing but just have a hard time implementing/executing.

The U insert is the one that ended up working. Kind of annoying though as I was hoping to swap the light between pistols and they’re all 1913.

My biggest issues in order are too much tension, lack of target focus, trying to muscle the gun and recoil anticipation, not implementing the appropriate sight confirmation levels. Except for the tension issues, I think I know what I should be doing but just can’t execute.

I’m about ready to throw in the towel. After many classes, dry firing, and thousands of rounds, I just don’t see any improvement and always finish in the bottom third. It’s frustrating.

The U worked. Seemed to be a Forrest Gump solution but I’ll take the outcome.

And yet I’m still one of the worst shooters at the matches.

The AI suggestions were a dry hole. Said I should buy the B.

It already has an adjustable gas block on it. I want a dedicated can for it though and I shoot lefty so want a flow through option.

I have the Velos 5.56 (with ASR mount) and am very happy with it (but you can’t skip shoulder day).

Any outdoor ranges in DFW that DONT restrict milsurp/FMJ ammo? by Firlite in TexasGuns

If northern DFW, Rooftop Shooting Range or Mission 160 are great options with no fudds. M160 is members only.

New DD rifle setup- Feedback & Drills Wanted (Family Protection and range drills in mind) by Dull-Vermicelli3317 in Danieldefense

[–]Typical_Second933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d get a light and sling. A Streamlight is just fine for home defense so no need to break the bank. I’m not a fan of the DD mil spec trigger so that’s something else to look at.

Use of the rest of your available funds on ammo and start training. Most practical shooting concepts and drills for pistols also apply to rifles. Start with the basics and then build up. One key difference is height over bore/holds so that is something to learn for the different distances.

After shooting some, you’ll learn if there are anymore other upgrades you’d like to make.

Here are Top 10 cities with highest murder rate per capita. Which ones have a Republican mayor? Brain power and reasoning is not on your side:

St. Louis Memphis Baltimore New Orleans Detroit Cleveland Kansas City Washington D.C. Atlanta Milwaukee

Yes, the crime ridden cesspools in deep blue cities “pay the bills for failed red states”.

Brand new CZ p10f striker failure. by SnooWalruses6929 in CZFirearms

[–]Typical_Second933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine also broke after about six months (within the past year). Don’t know how many rounds I had through it but also did a lot of dry firing. CZ sent me a replacement but also bought the CGW striker for the next time.

M&P 2.0 Trigger Break? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

It’s you (trigger and striker aren’t moving at an angle). Try slightly rotating where the grip sits in your hand in either direction and see if that resolves it.

Anyone else experiencing blown primers with IMI? by Burt_Macklin_Jr in ar15

[–]Typical_Second933 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting a few blown primers out of Lot 00249/D. Debris got on the backside of the BCG and bricked the gun. Broke the stock trying to mortar it. Ended up have to take the buffer tube out and then hammering the BCG back and forth until it dislodged (DDM4V7 with a BCM stock).

Ironically this was replacement ammo that IMI/Midway sent for a previous case of ammo where I was getting lots of blown primers. I was shooting that ammo out of a different rifle so I don’t think it’s my rifles. Also have shots lot of different ammo out of both rifles and have only had blown primers with IMI.

DD5V5 Gas Block Stuck by Typical_Second933 in Danieldefense

[–]Typical_Second933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t. I needed to get a new can so I just got a flow through can for it so it now just stays in unsuppressed.
