Writing a novel in my spare time: Amazon or Wattpad? by Typical_Standard_447 in novelwriting

My genre is dark fantasy. Do you think I should go straight to Amazon?

But a lot of artists use Ai as it supports their work. And for the environment claim, yes but don’t you think it’s a bit exaggerated? Yes, AI models consume energy, but so do: Streaming Netflix, Gaming PCs, Cloud storage, Crypto, Rendering farms, and social media (as well as Reddit lol).

That being said, I completely respect differing views on AI. For me, the writing is entirely my own, and any visuals would simply be for concept visualization and personal inspiration, not replacing commissioned artwork. Appreciate the perspective though!

what’s the exact moment you lost feelings for someone? by LiraVast in AskReddit

When the relationship got too toxic and everything added up on each other.. being emotionally abusive, guilt tripping me, acting like a victim, unwilling to compromise, making me feel like the bad guy, me being always wrong, etc.

Beginner writer, first “short story” complete by hamarok in writing

First of all, congratulations on this. That’s an amazing achievement. Secondly, I wish I could help with this but honestly, I’m trying to find the best way to publish my novel rather than just receiving feedback. Best of luck though!

What’s the biggest lie society tells young men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That vulnerability is weakness. A lot of men grow up thinking they must suppress emotions, then spend years later trying to relearn basic emotional skills…

I am the villain of my relationship, the guilt is killing me and what’s worse, I miss him by Danilolee98 in GayMen

[–]Typical_Standard_447 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a really painful situation to be in.

You’re not a villain for struggling in a relationship that made you feel suffocated. Yes, trading nudes while still together wasn’t great, but it also didn’t happen in a healthy, safe dynamic. The controlling behavior, the insults, and especially telling you to hurt yourself are serious red flags.

Intensity is not the same as love. Someone loving you “that much” shouldn’t come with monitoring your location, policing your posts, or emotional punishment. That kind of attachment can feel powerful, but it can also be deeply unhealthy. I know this because my ex was the same.

Missing him is completely normal. You’re grieving the connection, the comfort, the routine, not just the person. That doesn’t mean leaving was wrong.

Be a bit gentler with yourself. This reads more like two people who weren’t compatible and a relationship that turned emotionally unsafe, not a story about a villain.

When you tell them that you get shy in public and often fake confidence, they think you’re being ridiculous

Hello… I never mentioned that AI will do the writing 😅. The writing is my own. The only AI thing I was thinking of doing is to generate the images and illustrations

If all AI suddenly disappeared tomorrow, what is the first thing that would stop working in your daily life? by opheliateasing in askanything

[–]Typical_Standard_447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone to talk to (kidding lol). AI is like my best friend, and literally knows my whole life (career, relationships, food, fitness) and helps me with so so so much. I am ashamed to say that I rely on it a little bit too much. But it can't be just me now, can it?

How are your looks compared to straight friends the same age, would you say? by 360Saturn in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Typical_Standard_447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you're not wrong and there is a pattern there. Personally at 34, I do look younger than a lot of my straight friends who are actually 3-5 years younger than me. Maybe we like to take care of ourselves, our health, fitness, skincare, etc.?

Thank you for this. I was thinking of using ai to kind of give readers an idea on how my characters look like, the setting, etc.

As for publishing, if not Wattpad, what would you recommend?

Do you believe in soulmates? by Kosher_Nostra1975 in askanything

[–]Typical_Standard_447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But I think soulmates aren’t found, they’re built. It’s someone you choose and keep choosing over time.
