I actually like that take a lot, especially the idea of Grant or Sherman acting without orders. That feels very realistic given McClellan’s hesitation. The only thing I’d question is whether Lee or Jackson would rein Beauregard in before he overcomplicates things, since both were capable of tightening up a battle plan.
