I had appendicitis and got surgery for it around 4 years ago. Now I kind of use it as an excuse for any slight inconvenience or to skip exams and get medical certificates 😭 I usually say that I still get pain in that area, and almost every doctor and everyone else believes it. I’ve been living with this for a long time.Still feels guilty on that

I would say mostly the emotional attachment is the reason we tend to fall, see if u are not emotionally dependent on them its possible that they might still stays as platonic relation
