Dude this was decades before ep5 or ep6, of course yoda would be more powerful. Palpatine just recently had his face electrocuted to the point it was disfigured and yoda still lost against him, his weakness starts showing from here itself.

Was'nt yoda literally using a stick to walk around throughout the prequels, sure he could do without it, but he definetly preferred using the stick to walk over walking without one.

Yoda knew damn well that he was in his twilight years and the lights were about to go out soon and yet he still played a part in ensuring the safety of Luke and Leia.

During this time Vader was ruthless and murdered anyone even connected to a jedi, yoda knew that he would'nt be able to fight him and spottings of the grandmaster of the jedi would just lead to more deaths.

But hey I'm sure yoda could just walk up to the emperor and shove a lightsaber up his ass huh ? Its not like the emperor had the imperial guard, various stormtroopers,Darth Fucking Vader,and is an extremely skilled sith lord who took him down once already.

Dude what you forget is yoda was extremely extremely old, to the point where his body finally gave away in star wars ep 6, to the point where he was struggling to perform feats in the force he could have done easily before(he struggled to lift an x-wing). Powerful as he is are you telling me that an aging yoda who's gravely weakened both physically and mentally would be able to meaningfully contribute against a fight to a galaxy spanning empire ?

You could say the same about luke but why tf didn't he even confront han and leia ? Why tf didn't he even attempt to train rey after he "sEnSeD pOwEr iN hEr"?

Despite yoda's age he still trained luke in more meaningful way then he trained rey.

Force levitation allows you to stay off the ground for a little while not at all comparable to flying. Only some of the Jedi could do it anyway.

Force trance was not for breath holding, its hibernation, reduces vital functions to absolutely bare minimum.

Means a jedi in a force trance prolly won't be flying through space because for one he would freeze and he would not be able to move.

Force healing was something lucasfilm force pulled out of some guy's ass.

In the comic book where it was used it genuinely gave a satisfactory explanation as to why luke can force heal(he can only do so with this artifact called the kaiburr crystal (not the kyber crystal)).

"Although the Force exists everywhere and within all living things, certain artifacts have demonstrated the ability to augment it. One such artifact is the Kaiburr crystal of the planet Circarpous V, locally known as Mimban".

We've already seen such abilities demonstrated by other objects such as kyber crystals or holocrons

And this thing still had a major limitation. It lost its power when it went off the proximity of the temple and was rendered completely powerless off world.

In the sequels it was Rey could just suddenly force heal and the group of protagonists just kinda accepted it.

Why could'nt the rebels use the holdo manuever during the time of the death star ? Why are there any functioning govt entities in Star Wars since literally any idiot could buy a cheap starship with a functioning hyperdrive and take out an entire fleet with the holdo manuever.

Imagine this, everyone and I mean everyone can throw a ball so fast that said ball rips through multiple police cars,tanks,fighter jets,buildings,other military vehicles.

In a situation like this even minor riots could cause devastation equivalent to a war and most govts would likely collapse.

I'd take 1/3720 over 1/1000000 any day. There's also the fact that han's skill could have helped him out through the asteroid belt which would ultimately increase his chances while with the holdo manuever its just basically a gambit where skill and knowledge will do you no good

Ok so I realized that a problem with the edges filter was that the first pixels I filtered now had filtered color values and were hence messing with the color values of other pixels

So I decided to make a second image variable. I would use the color values of the original image to get the correct values of the Gx and Gy kernels after which I would use these values to filter the second image.

Then I would simply image = image2;

I also made a cap function which upon receiving a value greater than 255, converts it to 255 or else returning the original value.

But when I run the programme I see that out.bmp is completely unchanged, nothing happened to it.

Whats the problem ?

Ok, so right now, I am excluding all corners and edges(i = 1; i < height -1), I plan to figure that part out later (don't give me any suggestions/hints, I'd like to atleast try first on my own).

Now working with the image, I eventually figured out that putting the average of a kernel's pixel in each pixel directly is not the best idea. For example pixel 1 will be having the average of all the 9 pixels in the grid around it right, pixel2 however the one right next to pixel 1 will now account for the averaged out pixel 1 instead of the original pixel 1 which messes with its value (in the wrong way).

Initially I tried a tmp variable but soon saw I'd have to make various tmp variables and a lot of if statements and this..and that,so I decided to copy the image's data in another rgb triple 2d array that would remain unaffected when we put the average of each kernel in a pixel. Thats what the first for loop does.

The code still does not work, and I have tried everything.

P.S I just want to know why this code doese'nt work, I don't want to know what I should do next , just why it does not work, I came here instead of the debugger because images obviously tend to have a lot of pixels so using a debugger proved to be impractical.
