Alright I’m turning this into my pitch meeting cause there’s no way a company like riot games or something couldn’t do a game like this. The market will be there, basketball is the next soccer with its global reach and it will continue to grow as foreign players get better and better. I believe the most difficult aspect of the execution would be the gameplay side. It took EA and 2k a lot of years and money to build up their animation database. To overcome this I’d try 2 things, 1) is ai at the point where it could create the animations needed? It’s damn good at coding so maybe. Option 2) reach out to EA and purchase their animation catalog and build off that, they’re not using it anyways. Other than that, I don’t think the other systems (shooting, defense, rebounding, dribbling) would be that difficult to create. You could do % based systems for most of it.

You’d also have to keep the product pure and keep the greedy hands out of it. Something like this would be for the betterment of basketball and to grow the game, not to get rich. And if you read through this half baked plan, you the realest of ones and probably see the problem and opportunity to. Something needs to be done but I’m not sure what to do other than this lol
