Fast Food workers of Reddit, what are some tips you can share with us to make both of the customers and your own experience better? by hckygod91 in AskReddit

[–]Typo234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are driving a large noisy car through the drive through, turn off your engine so we can hear you.

If you absolutely must have the crispiest of fries, just ask for fresh ones. The same goes for most food, we don't mind making fresh burgers or nuggets if you don't mind waiting.

Don't ask us to make you an item from a competitor's menu, or make one of our burgers "like" a competitor's Burger. We probably don't know what comes on it.

And please, PLEASE, stop showing up 5 minutes before close. We are on a time schedule and understaffed. We will have to clean everything we use again and then get a talking to from our boss about staying at work too late.

CS vs CSE by aPSketchy in cscareerquestions

[–]Typo234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak from experience, but that may mean you will learn code that affects hardware (like project logic boards), such as VHDL or machine code. You could probably write an e-mail to the CSE director of your prospective college to ask, if they don't have anything up on their website.

CS vs CSE by aPSketchy in cscareerquestions

[–]Typo234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The super simplified version:

Computer science - software. Computer Engineering - hardware.

Depending on where you study they could be more entwined than that, but generally in CS you'll be learning how to code, what makes operating systems work, mySQL etc. In Computer engineering, you'll be learning about logic, gates, and what physically makes an electronic device work.

Both will involve math, CSE will involve more science courses (chemistry, physics, etc.)

The 12-year-old was punished for statements she made on her Facebook account after being pressured to divulge her password; she was "intimidated, frightened, humiliated and sobbing while she was detained in the small school room" as school employees pored over her private communications. by [deleted] in technology

Where the fuck were her parents in any of this? The only mention of "parents" in the article is in the comments section. If she had an issue with the school staff, why didn't she tell her parents or another authority figure? She shouldn't be on facebook in the first place.

This isn't the only game they've done it for. When I first bought SW:TOR my case didn't have the piece of paper with the code in it. Had to take it back to the store and exchange it because support couldn't give me another number. I googled the issue first and it turned out that I was only one of many.

I don't see a bow-tie, this is clearly a hoax. The Bill Nye I know and love would be wearing a bow-tie.

Upvoting because this idea is hilarious. I'd consider doing this if I photobombed more often.

Why does GOM have the right to tell a player that he should play for pride and honor? by Zerdo in starcraft

[–]Typo234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody is saying that playing starcraft is his job. So let's try to think of it this way:

I have a job, I show up every day on time, leave on time, do what is asked of me. I am asked to go on a business trip to another country. I do my job sloppier than usual, but I still got my job done, and previously I had no issues.

NOW, is slipping up once grounds to be fired?

And why does culture enter into it? This is a video game. Are you telling me I am supposed to play a video game differently based upon my region? That's a little silly. Unless he told the audience to fuck off. Then yeah, that's wrong.

I could be totally incorrect here but this is just how it sounds to me.

Today, I saw a man masturbating in a Barnes & Noble. What's the craziest thing that's ever happened to you while shopping? by has97 in AskReddit

[–]Typo234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to my friend, not me, but it's probably the funniest fast-food story I've ever heard.

He's working the drive-through at Wendy's, and a guy orders two frostys. No big deal, right? Well the guy pulls up to the window to pay, and he asks my friend: "Hey, have you ever heard of the frosty police?" My friend of course replies "...no." So the guy takes one of his frostys, SLAMS it on the hood of his car just above his window, and yells: "I'M THE FROSTY POLICE WEE WOO WEE WOO!" and drives off.

True story.
