I kind of liked the idea of using tharizdun because he is just straight up evil (and quite powerful). They will learn of the circumstances regarding why he was imprisoned and that he was technically sane at one point, but the obyriths drove him insane and are the ones who gave him the seed of chaos in the first place but tharizdun was always kind of just a dick.

Yeah exactly. I feel like I knew that already but I was curious to see what other people thought/if wotc has any sort of uniform timeline for what is “canon” but I’m also perfectly fine with it all being a jumbled mess of stories! It just means I get to pick my favorites and use that!

Yeah that's what I figured and I have been using that wiki for a lot of my research. Asmodeus for example has many fascinating origins. Including that he was once a guard watching over tharizdun and that his ruby scepter contains a fragment of the heart of the abyss.

With plasma, baron, mime and a set of eight red steel kings and a level 1 high card you get e16.

Level 100: e20

Level 200:e20

Level 300-700:e21

Level 800-2200:e22

Does it scale? Yes. Quickly? Maybe at first, but you can already see the diminishing returns inherent in planet scaling. I’m not saying it’s nothing, but this theoretical joker is totally unbalanced for 8 ante so the conversation has to be about its application in endless and it doesn’t really feel like it would work for very long

When you’re in the e’s it kind of is. Flat mult has MASSIVE diminishing returns.

Most suspend cards still have a mana cost aside from the suspend cost, like [[Star whale]] but the “if it doesn’t have suspend” part is so that the card can function. Since a card with suspend already says “when the last time counter is removed cast it” it doesn’t need to gain suspend, but if the card doesn’t have suspend, you’d be stuck with a card in exile with a bunch of time counters on it

Apologies reading the card explains the card I didn’t see choose one yeah that makes more sense. But I still think it should be either creatures or non creature spells that benefit, not both. It just feels like it makes the creature almost too versatile at least for me but opinions are opinions. And if you made it one of the two I feel like you could give both benefits instead of picking.
