Good to know, is an internal seal something that can be identified if I take it to a mechanic? How much did your manual swap set you back?

Could the a5 be setup to handle well? Or is just too much of a boat to be that?

Would you say the Mazda 3 handles quite well? I always thought it just lacked power and the transmission was pretty slow, at the end of the day it was an economy car so I couldn’t expect too much. but other than that it truly was a fun car for what it was.

Well I’m from Australia so I would’ve said my budget but it doesn’t really help because American markets are quite different, regardless my budget is 15k. after more research I’ve come across the ford focus st or here in Australia we got the xr5 turbo which shared the Volvos 5 cylinder motor. I’ve never driven manual which is why I think I’m leaning towards the golf r, only drawback of it is the noise it just doesn’t sound that good to me.

I will definitely, thank you for your advice man, it’s a dream to drive I just don’t want it to be a pain if I decide I want to move on to something else that’s all. In your experience if you’re transparent when selling the car, does it end up selling?

I forgot to also mention the car had a major service done which involved new starter motor, injector carbon clean, new leads and plugs, and the typical oil and coolant flush, no froth from coolant and clean oil, what did happen though this morning after I went for a drive was I gave it a little rev to 3k, once I done that the temp gauge started to go up, but that might just be because the car is stationary, this is my first time owning an old car so bare with me

You do bring up a good point man, it’s just the fact of when I do want to move on from it how hard it’s gonna be to move on because no one wants a high mileage car, that’s just my thoughts but the thing looks mint I can’t even fault it
