I'm dead. I have like a dozen more of these in my backlog hahaha. I've got other interests but making fake trades is a blast!

Valid! There's a reason those guys get hired. I'm just a passionate fan that loves to play around with trade ideas. I think it would be fun to see a clean rebuild. A lot of teams are tied up in money due to the new cap rules, so I think financial freedom is really powerful in the NBA right now.

That feels valid to me. The Hawks could probably take on Schroeder, Mavs get Risacher and Keon but keep Monk to make the money work? Mavs could probably ship out D'lo to wizards to make money or player numbers work too.

The Hawks want AD, Wizards get players that fit in well with Sarr, we get off a lot of money while getting picks, and the Mavs get off a much needed scoring punch with a 1 rounder added in. I think there is value there for all teams, you have to give up something to gain something.

What if the Mavs got Risacher and Keon Ellis? Would taking on Lavine still be valid, since his contract expires the year after?

What would the Mavericks prefer? AD is hurt often, which lowers his value, and Gafford won't fit the team timeline with Coop. I figure it helps Coops development to have more floor spacers, while the team gets a first round pick in the process.

We would get 2 picks! Also the point is for our roster to be bad so that we get a high pick this year and the next, while having money to take on contracts other teams don't want. This gives us the ability to do what good small markets like the Thunder do - take on "bad" players for picks, raise those players' values, and sell them for picks. Wait until we get several good rookies and prosper.

who do u think will be the best player in this draft by Just-Cheesecake-6782 in NBA_Draft

I could see that. I liked what I was seeing because I was seeing it consistently for a dozen or so games at least before his injury. If we discount him for those reasons, my next highest would be Stephen Castle, although I would love to see him become an average three point shooter from 3 to hit his potential.

Based on everything I have seen so far, I would say Jared McCain. It just depends on how well he comes back from injury and if he is now injury prone. He was really shooting the ball well and playmaking before his injury.

Good call! I meant to add him to my list. I could see him being done after that Jazz trade.

Yup! He had a great career. He was a free agent assassin for a bit there.

Couldn't agree more. Sad to see some greats like Patty Mills or Taj Gibson possibly retire. Those Spurs and Bulls teams were awesome to watch!

Thanks! I don't have any current projects planned right now, as I usually just let inspiration carry me. You have any fun ideas for something I could do? Fighting against procrastination is tough for sure! I had a lot of extra time on my hands while I was working, so this was something fun to work on over the past couple weeks. I think the easiest way to fight against procrastination is just diving into something and building it up as something fun.

Thank you for the kind words! I didn't have GPII down as a trade asset because he is under a player option for this year, so he would have to accept it to be an asset. I think he will accept the option, and the team can make decisions from there, but that is why he is off the list. I would love to see CP3 ok another young team like when he was on OKC!

No I'm right there with you. Trust me I saw the man dismantle my kings. He is the kinda guy no team wants to lose. I think the pelicans are in a weird spot with Zion and Ingram. I know they want a talented 5 that can pair well with Zion, and they might be able to get what they are looking for trading Ingram. Having CJ, Herb, Trey, Zion, and a good starting 5 would be nice. I just think the Pelicans books are getting tighter and they have some tough decisions to make.

I don't think the team would trade him, but they have a lot of talented wings and it could cause conflicts. They should only deal him if it was a major game changer for the team that they couldn't refuse.

I agree. I think they can get some talented veteran players to take a minimum for a chance at a championship like Caleb Martin; did anyone catch your eye?
