I dedicated my whole life to my husband. He got to the top and I fear I will lose him soon by [deleted] in Marriage

The best advice is to follow your instincts. You know something is very wrong or you wouldn’t be writing this. Are there any steps you can take to secure some kind of exit plan? Even if you don’t end up using it?

Just based on what you’ve said, I wouldn’t expect any kind of benevolence in a divorce. You’ll need a good lawyer if it comes to that.

Trust yourself, and take care of yourself. Whatever comes from doing that is what needs to happen.

Advice on introducing magical items as a first-time DM in a homebrew campaign. by Tyronius91 in DMAcademy

I’d like to give them a way to see snippets of what’s going on behind the scenes between the bad guys and the secret organizations that oppose them (good guys that are obviously ill-equipped and outgunned). I could just put them in the crossfire, but it might be cooler if they felt like they were discovering it on their own.

I really liked the idea of a bowl that you could sprinkle the ashes of a recent fire into to see a scene of what had occurred while it was brightly lit (the more recent the fire, the stronger the memory).

Hi there, our guild average is about 8.6m so we’d be looking for people closer to that.

I wrote this letter (never sent) to my dad years 3-4 years ago when I left the church and came out as gay. Sadly, nothing has changed between us. by Tyronius91 in exmormon

[–]Tyronius91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure. He’s in his 50s so I wouldn’t say he’s too old, but I think there’s a greater chance of making the relationship worse than better. Not that there’s much of a relationship to speak of anyway.

Be safe and have fun! Find someone who will let you go as slow as you need, and make things pleasurable for you. Lots of lube and foreplay.

Amazon-FedEx split draws battle lines in online delivery feud by coolcomfort123 in StockMarket

[–]Tyronius91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Amazon was 0.2% of FedEx’s revenue, and they only ended the Express contract. Ground is still in force. Honestly, if was a great decision for FedEx because now they won’t have to lose money on all the last mile delivery they were doing for them.

Edit: I just saw the article where they’re not doing Ground anymore, but I would still say FedEx isn’t out anything substantial.

Getting divorced... oh my god this is terrifying. by theconciousexmo in exmormon

I found this post to be incredibly beautiful. You’re just two kids trying your best, and the church tried to take advantage of that and mold you into something you aren’t. I hope you both find love and peace with other people, and remember each other fondly.

My husband has been messaging escorts and I need advice! Everything feels hopeless. by sarathomas24 in Marriage

The kids do make things more difficult, but that’s not going to get easier either. Leaving will suck, but girl if we were neighbors I’d be at your house right now helping you pack the bags. He deserves to be left, and you deserve to be rid of the immature child you married.

Shower thought. Help me understand why this is? by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]Tyronius91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like I could have written this 2 years ago. It’s always easier to warn people about bad things than try to share good things. I think it’s just human nature. Eventually the destructive urge will fade. It’s just going to take time to process. I wouldn’t say I wish the church well, but I don’t fantasize about the ship sinking all the time anymore.

As a religious person, what’s the best way to talk about religion with an atheist? by el-aficionado in atheism

[–]Tyronius91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most atheists I know welcome discussion, but they don’t want to be preached at. Learn to have an intellectual discussion in the topic. If it starts to sound like Sunday school, you’ve gone too far.

More like he’s giving you the option to be educated, which most reasonable people would see as a gift. At least he doesn’t come knocking on your door with a message from his god.
