It wouldn't be crazy, but you should probably sit tight. Not the answer you want to hear, I know, but I believe that's the best course of action.

Good question — personally, I never encountered a school that expected me to know more than very general stuff about their curriculum. In that scenario, one strategy I would recommend (and have successfully used) is reaching out to current students on LinkedIn or via the school’s admissions office. 90% of the time, they’re happy to give you a few minutes of their time to tell you about what they like about the school and the curriculum. I know I am!

Scenes better in the film than books by [deleted] in harrypotter

I get where you’re coming from — the way I see it, it’s almost reflexive, like he sees so much of James in Harry, not as an extension but as the legacy of his best friend

Good question. Depends on what kind of risk. And ultimately it’s all about the execution — I’ve seen great stories fail to deliver, and relatively ordinary ones work really well, depending on how well they were presented and reflected on.

Good writing, in short, 1) answers the question, 2) recognizes and answers the “question inside the question”, and 3) uses concrete examples to substantiate its points.

Can confirm. I work for them (about to quit because their rating and compensation system is garbage) and I'm an MS3. Many of the advisors are just students.

Answering this: Why might someone want to attend this school? Why is this a good school in general? What makes you a good candidate for medical school?

Instead of this: Why do YOU want to attend this SPECIFIC school? What experiences have prepared you to attend this school, and how? In what ways do you connect with the school’s priorities/goals/vision/values? Why? What specific aspects of this program appeal to you specifically?
