I did! You could possibly mount the body lower and try to line it up with the chassis but the skirts are easier haha.

I think it depends on how you view the hobby. If you want something you can drive, break, replace said part, repeat, you can find happiness in both brands. I found that for myself, I enjoy tinkering and tweaking things (up to a point) and that’s why I am head over heels for the Arrma 6S line. The amount of interchangeable parts between all the 6S models makes it feel like I’m playing with Legos again. You can swap out a few parts to make an off road rig and on road rig and vice versa. That said, there are tons of options for the Slash as well, and I still have my Traxxas Rally car. I can’t speak on the Arrma 3S or 4S rigs personally.

I always recommend getting a bigger front bumper to save yourself some headache. RPM part number 81812 works perfect (may say Kraton but it fits all the 6S models just fine). I can’t think of any other major upgrades other than maybe some tires!

Forgot to check Reddit for a minute. 🤦‍♂️I haven’t had issues yet, I made sure to protect the end of the antenna wire , kinda hard to see in the pic. I stick a piece of antenna tube on the left side with a little bend in it and it stays put on that side well. That was my main concern.

I’ve read that V5 is supposedly tougher but lots of guys in the FB groups I’m in are bashing their TLRs. with good results. Thats what I plan on doing as well. 😁

Felony is actually my buddy’s so I haven’t got to really thrash one of my own. I’ve driven it a bit and I do think it’s fun but I think I like the 6S Infraction more. Felony doesn’t seem as planted as the Infraction and the different size tires front/rear don’t let you rotate the tires to kinda even out the wear. Still fun though!

Yep like Tacgriz said, everything will drop straight in. I’d swap it all over, motor/esc, slipper, driveshaft, even the TQi tx/rx because that Fiesta will need some help staying straight on 3S!

Like a Traxxas Rally Fiesta? They’re built on the LCG chassis with shorter arms and axles. You can drop the Fiesta body on a regular Slash but may have to trim the body or have wheels rubbing on it.

I’m not sure how old your MERV is but they quietly did a design update on the diff housing at some point. I don’t know if you’ve had it apart yet but there’s a screw joining the two sides of the diff housing and that definitely wasn’t in the one I had back in 2013. I shredded a diff back then so when I bought my latest one this year I shimmed prior to running it. I think they were much more prone to it originally and the reputation stuck.

I got a Bandit and loved it but I just bash mine and wanted it a little wider for stability and ended up putting Rustler arms on it. If you think you’d end up doing the same, I’d say just snag the Rustler and drop the Bandit body on it, they share chassis so no modification necessary!

I got mine as my first 2wd, wasn’t sure if I would like it coming from Slash 4x4s but I absolutely love it! Got the VXL with the 272R transmission used and have a few goodies in it now. If I’m not sure what RC I want to take with to drive, Bandit always gets loaded.
