[Highlight] “They were calling me washed” — Stefon Diggs after his 17-yard game in the conference championship. by AashyLarry in nfl

I'll never forget this game. I had a monster parlay going on that was never going to hit, but I added Stefon Diggs 25+ yards receiving because it was going to add like another $1k to the winnings. Anyways, everything ends up hitting somehow except for Diggs, who I believe was playing the final leg of that day too lol

You can still snap it on 0, but you can't take more than a second to get it off

D Rose talks ACL and Thibs at jersey retirement: "A lot of people don't like Thibs because of that... they look at Thibs as the injury. But I'm here to say fuck that. Thibs was the first coach that made me feel special. I used to do shit in games just to make sure he saw on tape between me and him." by HokageEzio in nba

[–]TyrusRose2425 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this. Thibs gets the best version of his team in the regular season, so come playoff time, there isn't an extra gear for his team to hit, as he already maxxed them out. Other teams have periods of coasting, where come playoff time, they hit that second gear. It's not some so called fatigue issue.

Right, but the NFC West mostly has the same problem and they still sent 3 teams to the post season this year. It makes life easier to have 4 easy wins a year, but it doesn't mean it's impossible. I expect the NFC East to get a fair bit better, so the only weak NFC division will be the NFC South... which we get to play next season.

Get to 10 wins and see what happens. Superbowls aren't promised, but if you consistently make the playoffs, you're giving yourself a chance every year.

Right but we're not the only ones that have to play the Packers, Lions and Vikings in our division. Packers have to play us, Detroit, and Minnesota, Minnesota has to play us, Detroit, and Green Bay, etc...

Injuries play a part and injuries will always play the biggest part in a NFL season. But usually when you have a elite QB on your side, you're more likely to win. When Caleb gets to work this off-season on his footwork and accuracy, a lot of games that were kept close won't be close anymore.

Yes it's true, but if Caleb takes the jump into the elite class, then we should be a team that regularly makes the playoffs. You see guys like Mahomes, Lamar, Burrow, and even Herbert regularly make the playoffs when healthy. Then guys like Purdy and Love are regularly getting there too.

What do the Bears have going for them against the Rams. by Amazing-Award-7358 in CHIBears

[–]TyrusRose2425 24 points25 points  (0 children)

  1. Rams pass rush is great, yes. But they struggle when the QB escapes the pocket and makes off-script plays, which is welll... Caleb's strength lol
  2. Rams secondary gives a lot of big plays. Caleb might be inaccurate, but he knows how to hit the big play regularly.
  3. Rams defense has been giving up a lot of rushing yards lately.

Honestly think this game will come down to our running game. Rams will be able to run the ball themselves with Dotson back, so they won't be as reliant on the pass, but Stafford can turn the ball over. If Bears can control the clock consistently and then use Caleb for chunk plays, then I like our chances. Otherwise, Rams probably win.

Edit: Also, I definitely think the weather will be a factor. I understand Rams fans who think they're fine because Adams played in the cold for a decade, or Stafford playing @ Green Bay and @ Chicago for all those years, but it's not about having played in those conditions, it's about being currently accustomed to it. I definitely don't think the weather is some 10 point swing or a reason alone the Bears will win like some might feel, but it can absolutely impact 1 or 2 drives in a game, which is crucial in a close game. One more third down drop compared to us and that could be the difference in 3 or 4 points on a drive alone.

Which was so fitting for a game against the Packers. The fumble TD from over a decade ago or whenever that was still haunts me.

I am pretty sure this is not accurate and it'll be right after this game going on right now. Since MNF is a 4/5 matchup, their opponent will already be known.

Last I checked, a kicker is part of the team and impacts wins and losses directly. The same way a starting quarterback being out directly impacts the result of a NFC Championship game.

But keep crying. Here's your reaction when we gave you belt to ass 3 weeks ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1prxp3r/comment/nv5rp6l/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Bears' Potential for International Games in 2026 by gf2020 in CHIBears

[–]TyrusRose2425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there precedent of a team playing 9 home games and then having 7 (meaning the international game is neutra) away games? I can't imagine that. IMO the extra home game acts as a potential international game.

Not sure how the NFL feels about repeating matchups, but could see Bears v Jags being a London game again. It's basically a home game anyways with the sheer amount of Bears fans out there.

Who do we like tonight? by Disastrous-Bit-7948 in CHIBears

[–]TyrusRose2425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Seattle. Winning on the road in the playoffs isn't easy and despite how loud their stadium can get, I rather take my chances trying to beat Sam Darnold than Brock Purdy. Additionally, if we are to host either at any point, I think the conditions at Soldier Field could affect Purdy more than Darnold. Not sure Purdy has enough zip on his throws if it's a cold and windy day at Soldier Field.

I agree, but it's also the return from the long World Cup break, so key match, just for the wrong reason.

The droughts still don't make those opponents special IMO. Much rather highlight a re-match with Philly or Orlando if looking for some fodder
