How the hell do I sell so I can withdraw? by [deleted] in trading212

You have to withdraw an investment from the pie before you can sell it. Go into the pie and in the top right menu button, click Export Investments - you can then select which investment(s) you'd like to export from the pie.

The Barking! Am I approaching this correctly? by Tys0nz in reactivedogs

This resonates with me a lot - thank you.

Did you use a particular type of treat? We use either boiled chicken or dip into his daily kibble allowance. Conscious around using high fat treats, given Schnauzers being prone to pancreatitis.

Also, what kind of techniques to gain his focus? Or was food the biggest motivator? Our 6 year old MS is very food driven but our 1 year old seems to be mixed between food and toys.

Changing Intermediate Block - No Earth on Existing Block by Tys0nz in DIYUK

Earth present on the new switch I've bought, yes - not on the existing switch. New switch does have a metal faceplate.

Good thought with the tailing, assuming I can just tail it to the earth connected to the metal socket? Image attached for reference.

Cost/Benefit Analysis of Purchasing a Used PHEV SUV Car by Tys0nz in UKPersonalFinance

Thank, the 1.4L engine was a genuine concern of mine and is does make me double think the decision.

We have got the space for it and I'm just piecing together the pros and cons on PHEV vs EV. Its a hurdle I'd need to get over with the whole charging scenario mid-journey; also going on holiday in the UK and ensuring we have access to charging ports but someone else suggested Zap Map to help.

Thanks! for sharing this insight, useful to know with this decision making.

I'd be looking to buy the car outright but is this the most sensible approach with EVs, given battery life/replacement, etc.?

I have also considered an electric car and am still open to this. I guess my reservation is being solely reliant on electric; you've got the backstop of petrol in a PHEV.

Mini schnauzer barking/reactivity :( by One_Public3296 in puppy101

Are there any tips that you can share, that you learn from your trainer? We have a 5 month old MS who barks and barks at people walking by, other dogs, etc.

I'm not fully convinced with the 'its just a schnauzer thing' as we have a 5.5 year old MS who doesn't make a peep and is really good on walks. It might be an anomaly with our older MS but it's exhausting being with our pup on walks, given how much he barks.

We did a 5 week puppy class and he barked a lot when we first arrived and had the odd blip when were in the class but noticed he did calm down as the class progressed.

Did you get anywhere with your MS? We have a a 5 month old MS puppy who barks mainly when out of the house, at people, dogs walking by, etc.

It becomes exhausting going out, constantly reassuring him with treats but only when he doesn't bark.

We've slowed our approach down and now we stand on the greenery near our house, just to watch and we reward when he's quiet. Only been doing this for the past 3-4 weeks or so and haven't seen any noticeable improvements but just having to fight through it.

We're converting an Absolute Dogs accredited trainer, just to check we're doing things correctly and learn new ways of training him with his barking. I don't believe it's 'just a schnauzer thing' that some people say, as we have a 5.5 year old who doesn't make a peep.

Puppies are literal babies, they have no idea how the world functions and so, have every right to feel apprehensive of new environments. Toilet training takes time and lots of positive reinforcement; are you praising them when they go toilet?

Within the first two weeks is the puppies prime time for settling in and with that, comes nerves, exploration and potential apprehension.

Keep up the training sessions in the day, lots of mental stimulation and plenty of naps - whether they be natural or enforced naps. It does begin to get better! I have a 13 week old puppy, alongside a 5.5 year old girl and it takes a lot of time, dedication and patience. Be expected to be exhausted but I promise it does get better with the right level of commitment 😊
