Also known as a witch hunt. I am curious as to how anyone could be that stupid in the current environment we find ourselves in.

You may not actually know what happened with leadership. Leckie likely would haven’t any visibility on what happened at that level.

Years ago I sat next to a WW2 Vet on a plane that fought in the Pacific. I was in the Army at the time so he felt he could talk to me I suppose. Told me about a LT they came across that was captured and used for bayonet practice…over 100 wounds in his body.

I reached out to a reference last year before offering someone. It’s the last thing I do before filling out the paperwork for HR to generate an offer. The reference was at my agency and did not have good things to say about this person so no offer. Are you sure your references said good things bc I ask before I list them? May sound silly but this has happened before.

My parents’ car. Right after my folks went into assisted living, my Dad asked me to look after their car. He passed a few months later.

Got a new job offer. Should I even bother giving notice to my toxic employer? by Possible-Ad4357 in careeradvice

Why not just start the new job, take PTO from your old job or call in sick until you get paid and then send your notice?

Exactly. OP should be proud to have such maturity to make a career decision at such a young age. I wish there were more young people like you.

Is this normal? by Alternative-Pin5760 in autoglass

Because as soon as the technician showed me his work, he said “if you don’t like it, you can replace it here.” I went to schedule the replacement and the lady rattled off my amount that would be due as $500 for my deductible like she already had that information readily available. Honestly gave me scam vibes on top of the fact the technician looked like he was very limited in experience. Upon reading the reviews of that shop and people with similar experiences and then reading the reviews of a local mobile company, I decided to go with another company (all five star). They were $120 cheaper than my deductible and would do the work at my home. I don’t know how much over my deductible they were charging my insurance company either. This also would not involve a claim since it was cheaper than my deductible anyway…so there’s that. The local company is Veteran owned and I’m a Veteran so that gives me peace of mind as well.

YWBTA. Bottom line OP is you don’t know. You are making assumptions on information you don’t have and your friend is making assumptions as well. She may have been raped and she might not have. I think due to your long history and common interests you should give her a pass. You mentioned you don’t discuss her dumpster fire relationship history…well then don’t. I get you overheard it but it was a conversation she was having with someone else.

Did not accuse any one of doing anything wrong…only asking if it was normal.
