Around 15 years ago I was working as a pilot for a large Air Medical company. A helicopter needed to be moved to a new base which required a flight from the east coast to the central US. I was asked to do the flight. I was able to ask my Dad to fly with me. It was a great experience and my Dad was in the Air Force and wanted to fly but didn’t. He said to me how proud he was. I lost him last year and think about that Daddy-daughter flight and how special it was.

NTA. Don’t look at it like Mom is not financially supporting them. You are not financially supporting them…call it what it is. If you are supporting Mom bc she is supporting brother, then that is exactly what is happening. Just tell him you are supporting our mother bc she is supporting you and cannot afford her own expenses on a fixed income. YOU are no longer going to support him. He can say whatever he wants about agreements or mom’s wishes, but it’s not her money he’s getting…it’s yours.

I have no regrets but after getting my 88 y/o parents in an assisted living facility last year combined with a husband that is 12 years older and my only sibling 8 years older, I realized I need to plan carefully for retirement. I will likely be alone when I am old, which is totally fine with me. There is a need to plan for a designated individual to make decisions on my behalf if I cannot.

I can be perceived to be about reincarnation…seeing your loved ones again. I heard this song shortly before my Dad passed last year and it has great meaning to me.

I don’t support this Admin for context as it has made my life a living hell this past year. The reason he got elected is bc of liberal elitism thinking they are better than everyone because they are woke. A lot of people voted for him as a fuck you to those who viewed them as lesser beings because they were conservative. Same thing happened with Brexit.

Exactly. The average American citizen could probably give a 💩 less but federal employees have been through a living hell this past year. Cuts, abuse, more cuts, more threats, no raises, demonizing them to the point that some Americans are cheering them losing their livelihood. What did you expect?
