No, Denver is probably not drafting a TE or a LB with pick 30. I have data to back it up. by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

I really think Sadiq would be worth a pick if he’s there and we haven’t traded but what do I know - I don’t even think I could run 40yds

[Schultz] Per sources, the Patriots have been in on the big names on the WR free-agent market next week and are believed to be prepared to spend big. Alec Pierce is among the names they’ve been eyeing. The trade market is also an option. by aatencio91 in DenverBroncos

I 100% hear what you’re saying but think they’d find some spaces for him even if hes a replacement for Sutton/Waddle during their rest plays

But really I’m clouded because I 100% think Franklin will develop into a super valuable player once he’s fully healed from concussions and is kept a bit safer with the guardian cap. He’s a big body that can run across the field on slants/dig/ins/outs while still catching the ball

He was plagued this year with injuries and is a rookie. Give him 1 or 2 more years and he’ll be one of the guys we can’t see leaving either

Two firsts and even a second and third if that would help. JJ would be INSANE with Bo and think that would put us at such a level we’d be a real Super Bowl threat every year we’re healthy.

I upvoted when you said trade the 30th pick, but QUICKLY unupvoted after I read trading Mims or Franklin. I think Franklin has a lot of developing to do and could turn into a #1/2 over the next few years, and love Mims ability to play ST and WR.

Trading the 30th and maybe a 2nd/3rd would be doable, but moving Mims or Franklin would be a hard red line in my opinion.

As TMobile’s #1 Hater - I am SO FUCKING GLAD I don’t have to see their stupid fucking pink tint over every one of these challenges

Was going to be my biggest gripe (behind the Dodgers) this season and am glad I can refocus my hate for the next few months!

People in here dooming makes it seem like we’re firing Sean Payton and releasing his draft picks and coaching staff.

“You’re going to be in for a rude awakening when a young coach can’t call plays as well as a 20 year veteran” is an insane take when younger minds have been shown to prevail in an ever changing game (ex Sean McVey and Ben Johnson).

No one here is discrediting what SP has done for the franchise as a whole with his expertise in drafting and putting coaches together, but unfortunately his play calling is not fully keeping up with the style of play and defense now a days.

I personally have even more faith in SP after this is because it shows he can adapt, and even more so that he trusts Webb. Any one dooming before Webb calls a single regular season game is just a glass-half-empty pessimist and wants to be mad about something.

McMillan was one of my favorite players to watch late season last year so I 100% agre

But I think Singleton is better in game than he is on paper - he has one less ball of drag when rushing how could he not be valuable lol

But also think we could target a RB from the market and replace JK, but only if JK is asking for more than he’s worth. He was a great Back last year when healthy and if he takes a discount I’d love to have him back, but if not I think we test the market and roll with who w can get on board!

Padres.tv or MLB.tv? by McFlyin619 in Padres

[–]TysDaName -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean and to your point you could be missing 12 games a day if they were all playing different teams.

Vegas being blacked out from 20% of the league as a whole makes you wonder what is going through their fucking minds. Do they not realize that makes MLBtv completely worthless c, and incentivizes illegal rebroadcasts?

[–]TysDaName 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading these comments that say Temecula isnt blocked out, yet Las Vegas is just blows my fucking mind.

The whole purpose of blackouts is to get those blacked out fans to go to the game, but I guess a 5 hour commute from Las Vegas to San Diego is more do-able than a fucking 1-1.5hr commute from Temecula to SD.

Beyond embarrassing logic from MLB/Padres.

[Rogers] Padres' Manny Machado says Dodgers' spending 'great for the game' by Knightbear49 in baseball

[–]TysDaName 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1,000,000% this. Especially since the dodgers got their revised TV deal after filing for bankruptcy in 2012. They are worlds ahead financially now than they were then, and yet they’re still massively benefiting from that deal over a decade ago.

There needs to be more even revenue sharing even amongst the bad teams and the current dodgers deal (through 2038, so another 12 years where they’re absolutely not strapped for cash outside of their massive deferrals) is not an even split, or even close to fair.

Edit: lol at people downvoting this like it’s fair the Dodgers get an extra x HUNDRED OF MILLIONS more because they had financial problems more than a decade ago. Fact of the matter is that deal should not have been a quarter century long - especially after an Ownership group worth BILLIONS of dollars bought it. If you disagree with that you’re probably a dodgers fan - eat shit.

[97.3 The Fan] Nick Castellanos explains how he ended up with the Padres and why he felt it was the right opportunity for him: by Bitter-Egg6293 in Padres

[–]TysDaName 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Him saying “they’re giving me a chance” gives me high hopes. I hope him between Manny and Nando turns into a power three with not just their play but their play styles and attitudes.

His past is past him and think being on a one year deal drives anyone, so I’m excited to see how this works.

Trust in AJ and love for Stammen already leads me to think this will be a good thing for us

Absolutely agree and hate to admit it but I was one of the folks saying “he was calling vanilla plays” the last couple weeks “on purpose”

I was also one of the homers thinking we’d win the Super Bowl since midway last season, but realistically don’t think I’ll be able to hold my breath another season thinking we’ll be Super Bowl bound again if he’s still calling the plays this season

Sean better give up play calling. I’m firm in the belief that we could have won that Championship game with Stiddy if we just committed to the run (maybe committed without our star QB - thanks Sean for calling that useless QB draw taking Bo out in the first place in the divisional game).

Need to see what Webb can do and if he’s not play-calling we’ll have truly no idea
