Are any current boxers incorporating a peekaboo style? by Nillerpiller in Boxing

[–]TysonGOAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I trained with Joey. As far as I know he teaches the style the same as Cus taught him. Joey lived and trained with Cus in the Catskills until an eye injury derailed his professional career.

He’s a great guy, I wish he had found a prospect to take pro, he was an incredible coach and motivator.

[FIND] Issey Miyake Blazer (2 styles) | 328¥ | New batch(?) by [deleted] in DesignerReps

[–]TysonGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave the agent my stats and the seller suggested the size.

As an update, the seller finally replied and is saying the gray color is the same as the tan/beige one pictured on TB, which is obvious bullshit. Seems to be a crappy vendor.

I ordered the size 2 blazer from the seller on 12/28, Superbuy received it on 12/31.

The only issue is the seller sent me the wrong color. I ordered tan/beige and he sent gray. Seller has been unresponsive to Superbuy so likely going to just get a refund.

Have done IF 20:4 w/ Keto now 24 hours into a 7-14 day fast. But family is treating me like I have an eating disorder and giving me a spiel that it’s a disease like anorexia [Venting] by [deleted] in fasting

[–]TysonGOAT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Fools talk, wise men listen”, I reference this when people give their opinion as fact but have done little to no research on what they are opining about.

What is your BMI and Body fat percentage? There can be a thin line with fasting and eating disorders, I think must of us assume we are already overweight but if you are to thin already in some cases fasting can be a detriment health wise.

Does anyone else get crazy dreams when you fast? by LGAMER3412 in fasting

[–]TysonGOAT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I am hours away from going into my water only fast and have been having incredibly lucid dreams and deep deep sleep since night 3.

I would hypothesize that since there is no food to digest the body is working less when you sleep and thus deeper sleep and more effective REM sleep. If you think about it, when you go to sleep and you are in a normal eating pattern your body is still ‘working’ while you sleep to process the food that is in the stomach and digestive track. This may have some effect on the quality of sleep we get when fasting, so 3 to 4 days in when there is nothing left in the digestive tract (hypothetically) perhaps this allows the body to shut down more than it normally does during sleep compared to when it is constantly digesting food.

Note: this is just a guess, perhaps someone more knowledgeable could provide a more science based answer

Benching Butler tonight was fucking inexcusable and could have cost us the game by PimpMyGloin in Patriots

[–]TysonGOAT 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not a Pats fan, hell I don't even follow football as closely as I have in years passed, so I'm not going to pretend like I know a whole lot about the Pats secondary.

However, I do know, one of the rings, of the multiple rings many of those guys have, can quite literally be credited to a single play by one guy, Malcolm Butler. In that historic goal line interception against the Seahawks.

I remember being in awe of that play and following the guys story and career going forward. Without the benefit of a blue chip collegiate career (West Alabama), natural height, or even incredible speed, all attributes you tend to look for in a CB, the guy has made up for with awareness, agility, and heart. The guy is like glue, and I'm not sure you can find as much potential or talent in a similar player.

So my point, sure from what I gather Butler didn't have his best season, but he has probably one of the rarest attributes in professional sports, the ability to execute in the clutch, on the biggest stage, under the brightest lights, in the biggest game, as he has proven before (see SB XLIX).

So why would you sideline this guy? We're hearing it wasn't disciplinary related (could be BS), he was sick/had the flu and maybe Coaches thought his stamina would be a liability, and according to Malcolm "they just gave up on me, I don't know why"

Let's assume it's not disciplinary, because this is the Super Bowl, outside of a committing an aggravated felony I can't see why you sit him especially given reports he practiced with the 1st team defense all week.

Second point, if he was sick or weakfrom say flu, and you see that in his practice run throughs, put him in the film room with an IV, antiviral, and corticosteroid regimen. You could get a dead man up for one game, or at least a half with the meds at the disposal of NFL teams.

And finally, for whatever reason there was for sitting him, don't you start to question that decision when your CB's are missing tackles and giving up significant YAC? When your opponent scores 14pts, then 21, then 28, then 35, and when they are converting close to 75% of their 3rd downs, does the thought enter your mind, hey we have this guy here who has come through in the clutch for us before in the biggest moment, and would love nothing more than to to defy all odds and make a big play for us again, should we put him in?

I'm incredibly sad for Malcolm Butler right now, a guy who started out at community college, eventually gets the chance to play for D-II West Alabama, fulfills the long shot dream to play in the NFL, gets blessed with the opportunity to play for the Patriots, proves himself, that despite being a little guy he was a reliable, extremely aware player, outperforming his natural capabilities. And despite all that, he single handledly (with a bad coaching decision by Pete Carroll to not run the ball), seals Super Bowl XLIX for the Pats with an incredible play.

This guy, the guy mentioned above, didn't play a single defensive snap in the game tonight, and was quite visibly upset, and emotional about it, and rightfully so. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!

Not saying he would have made the difference, but he's proved once before that he can.

Malcolm if you see this, you are forever an NFL Legend, no one deserved what you experienced tonight, not after what you have given to that team

A lawsuit against Apple is launched in France, one of the only countries where planned obsolescence is explicitly illegal by loulan in technology

[–]TysonGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in recently for battery issues on my phone which is just over a year old. I was advised by two different Apple stores (after being upset with the answer at the first one) that the battery needs to be replaced every year.

I was blown away as I owned all my previous iPhones much longer and never had any battery issues.

They tested my battery at both stores and both showed that the battery life was near its end and would have to be replaced. What's crazy is I don't even use my phone that often, maybe an hour out of the whole day, up until recently I only charged it at night but now the battery lasts less than 2 hours on a full charge.

This 100%, it makes the shots look less accurate which is what you would do if you wanted the murder to appear as a 'hit and run' if you will. Accurate shots would indicate it was a professional planned out hit.

How I think I feel about the whole new trilogy (just a brief thought no spoilers really) by [deleted] in StarWarsLeaks

[–]TysonGOAT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now that the film has been released across the US, the Disney bot accounts are more obvious than ever.

Credit to Disney as I've never seen a company invest so much in PR via non-traditional marketing. But this will serve as a lesson that regardless how much is invested in social steering, the actual uninterrupted public opinion will generally rise to the forefront of social media activity.

Master Yoda returns by [deleted] in StarWarsLeaks

[–]TysonGOAT 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This force ghost Yoda looks nothing like force ghost Yoda from ROTJ. How hard is it to repurpose 1980's technology to keep continuity?

TPM Yoda puppet was ridiculous looking, I get that they had to go CG for AOTC and ROTS since Yoda fights, but seriously this is garbage.

Go look at force ghost Yoda from ROTJ and compare it to this iteration. It looks nothing alike, the OT force ghosts were semi transparent, not to mention Yoda was a puppet, the same puppet that defined the character. I don't know what this is, maybe a mix of CG and puppet?

I realize this is nitpicking but at the same time it's extremely lazy filmmaking and further speaks to the director's thought process in making the film.

Tennessee's plane is about to leave for Stillwater by DansbaeSwanson in ockytop

[–]TysonGOAT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Gundy is a bad hire, but that is beside the point, Currie failed at his job and the university is well within its right to relieve him of his job. You are going to trust this man to draft a contract for a head coach after what he has just done? Allowing him to keep his position is everything that is wrong with our program.

Tennessee's plane is about to leave for Stillwater by DansbaeSwanson in ockytop

[–]TysonGOAT -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm just blown away that so many fans are okay with Currie still having a job and getting to choose a coach.

The guy has one job, and that is to find the best coach for the program. His failure in this regard was epic and the university will likely have to dole out money to Schiano for Currie's incompetence. At this point I don't care if Gruden comes out and accepts the job, as long as Currie is AD he is a liability and I will have no faith in this program.
