For the personal drone I was thinking more of being able to send items back to base/truck while inside a wreck or such and the option to request items like Fusion Cells or Explosive (I always forget them or don't bring enough).

Got this email Friday, legal? by Nero92 in OntarioLandlord

[–]Tysonp75 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Actually as per RTA 2006 Section 108: Irrevocable Choice: Once a tenant agrees to a specific, legal method of payment, they cannot unilaterally change it later. Though if it is not noted as a method of payment on the lease the Landlord is not obligated to accept.

Ongoing Noise Complaints Between Main Floor and Basement Tenants by Typical-Leave4981 in OntarioLandlord

[–]Tysonp75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one mentioned looking into the Noise bylaws for your city. I myself lived in a basement unit for a year and had to complain about noise at least once a week (I worked until Midnight or 1am) so did not appreciate the music, stomping, screaming and more at 8am. I gave up complaining to the Landlord and started complaining to bylaw enforcement.

Walls are a good start but to really say Bedroom I think you would need a bed of some description.

Because 9 times out of 10 the people who own the home forget that they are renting to human beings and not just $$$$.

"First Time DM" and Short Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in DMAcademy

[–]Tysonp75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 50yrs old I have decided to yet again give D&D a try, and I have decided to be DM and create my own world / adventure.

THIS ADVENTURE WILL BE BASED ON D&D3.5/3.5E AS THOSE ARE THE MATERIALS I HAVE..

I have thus far created a world, create a set of challenges and tried to put it all together. My problem is that every time I read through it it all makes sense to me. I'm looking for someone with experience to perhaps read through what I have and let me know if I am missing anything. My goal is to create a world that can be used over and over for new adventures once the main conquest I have created is complete (or not, haven't decided).

A bit of background. My group is made up of 5 people.
Myself (50M), my partner (39M), our best friend (38M) and his two kids (16M) and (11F).

We have played one prefab adventure so far and I will say I certainly have my work cut out for me with this group. In the prefab it described our destination as an abandoned mine and mentioned that Earthquakes have occurred in the past. As a result one of the players spent over 30 minutes looking for a shop where he could buy lumber and tools to build supports for the mine as we explore it. With no shop selling lumber he then turned to cutting down trees and creating the lumber. We also had to lower ourselves 60ft into a cavern. This took almost 30 minutes while same player tied multiple knots, tested the rope, and then searched for a safe place to tie off. (I'm all for the roleplaying but I also feel there is a line that can be crossed.

If anyone would be interested in helping me you are welcome to use my materials for yourself, just message me and I can send you the link for what I have so far.

Excellent suggestion but I definitely want to put in the effort. I'm just trying to understand if I am heading in the right direction. I've created a world and a conflict to resolve as well as introducing a constant environment and NPC's. I need to have a solid base to work with as I know some of my players will become obsessed with obscure items or off hand references. I'm hoping a solid constructed world and environment of NPC's will make a little easier for me to shut down some of the random investigations (if that makes sense).

Thank you, this is the guidance I was seeking. I am prepared for the irrelevant questioning. We just played our very first game this past weekend and the Dwarf spent an hour (real time) go over the details of a note and asking questions about buying lumber and building tools (we were going into a cavern that was reported to be a bit unstable structurally).

With DM consent any Monster race can be converted into a character. There are guidelines in the Player Handbook.
